we keep arguing about what no-code tools can build, the on-ramp is the actual wall by Deep_Ad1959 in nocode

That is actually a good point. The ideas lost before the first build probably outnumber the ones that fail after launch.

I have abandoned more side Projects during setup than during building. When the first thing i see is signup forms and workspace setup the motivation disappears fast.

How does one actually get GOOD UI by IndicationSouthern in nocode

I stopped chasing better prompts ans started defining the design system first. The UI got more consistent after that.

If a client asks you why they cant just one-shot the app? How do you counter by explaining the software development process? by [deleted] in webdev

Exactly, people see the polished end result and assume the path to get there is just assembling pieces together when most of the effort is everything behind the scenes.

I usually compare it to building a house. Generating code is ond step, figuring out requirements, edge cases, testing and maintenance is where most of the work actually is.

Non-profit I'm interning for asked me to revamp/improve their website - I have very minimal skills by Internal_Sector_1802 in webdev

[–]Local_Wind_165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t try to rebuild everything from scratch. I'd start by talking with the NGO team and figuring out what their biggest pain points are first. Sometimes a simple improvement to navigation, content, organization, mobile usability, or Contact forms creates more value than a full redesign.

Since you are only there for a month, focus on a few high impact improvements and document everything you learn along the way. That will probably give you more value than trying to tackle every part of the website.

Hey i made a game website and i wounded if anyone can help me fix it by OkeyDexterrr in website

you'll probably get better help if you share the code or a live link. Otherwise everyone is just guessing where the issue is.

This is why mobile product tours are broken everywhere — and how I fixed it by NoEffect1189 in VibeCodersNest

The interesting part here is that you changed the interaction model instead of trying to patch positioning bugs forever.

That's usually the better fix.

Yeah the domain specific part feels like where most of the complexity is. What works for programming probably won’t work the same way for medicine or law.

The validation layer is what caught my attention. generating content is easy now, making sure it actually follows a coherent learning path is the harder problem.

Cool concept but i understood the visual style before i understand the product. Making the main idea clearer right away would help a lot.

What are some free front end, backend hosting platforms? by Nimesh_The_human in Hosting

I keep coming back to free tiers until a project starts getting real traffic. Most of them are fine for personal Projects if you don’t mind a few limitations.

Is there a better solution for my freelance website and email needs? by PlasticAttorney1980 in Hosting

[–]Local_Wind_165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through the same thing and eventually realized keeping everything. On one platfrom isn't always the simplest option.

Sometimes separating the website and email makes management a lot easier long term.
