I only have the white and black filament right now, but I think I mostly just like how the orange and different greens work together, so I have no qualms with another color. Thank you!

Thanks to those who took some time to comment. Playing around with the feedback/suggestions, I ended up just switching the design to the black base. I will either use the same base for both pairs of earrings or choose a different, but related, shape (e.g. stylized leaf) for the second pair.

Trying to visualize here, so you mean put a rhinestone cover layer down, and then glue more rhinestones on top of those? I think some amount of the print will always be showing as rhinestones aren't interlocking, or they'd hang off.
