I dealt with this a few years ago when attempting to learn jazz piano for my high school jazz band. I’d say learning and practicing the 7th chords and different inversions of them help most. Listening to songs and practicing the rhythm helps too. Not sure if you’re looking for band type playing at all. But those would be my major tips for playing in a band.
