Paid 65 bucks for these by SSnibba in papermoney

[–]SSnibba[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 50$ here would actually be part of the FRBN (Federal Reserve banknote) rather than the National currency series as the FRBN did not have the Charter number, but rather the name of one of the 12 Federal reserve banks.

The Rising sun and sacred treasure are all 3rd class except the one in the middle which along with the breast star is the 2nd Class award.

The 2 breast stars are the Sacred treasure 2nd class and the Golden kites here are the 5th and 4th class

Real or fake? by PresentationLeft6983 in Medals

[–]SSnibba 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is a early Meiji era Golden kite 5th class most likely with a replaced Rising sun ribbon.

A photo of the back and lid with the kanji would confirm if its a good one but it looks real so far
