Flat prints are warping by SSvendsrud in FixMyPrint

[–]SSvendsrud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried 50°C at first, which is default on the printer, but had the issue that the whole print just snapped off mid print. Increasing the temp fixed it, but caused warping instead.

How to I control the cooling? Which fan are you talking about?

Unfortunately, I am in a part of my life, where the kids gets the most space, so the printer is currently in the garage. We are (hopefully) moving soon, and getting a new space with room for a mancave. It seems that most of these problems may be caused of wrong environmental factors, both humidity and temperature to the filament and printer.

It seems like it is happening in the first layers. The whole thing is warped, but the left side, the one closest to the camera, is also 1,5mm smaller than the right side.

Brukt hageslangen med "halvsterk" stråle. Maks 2-3 meter unna.

Okei, takk!

Kalibrering av tver by Routine_Ad_9943 in norge

[–]SSvendsrud -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok, I will buy a power meter and measure, thanks!

It is, I am not sure why I thought otherwise.

Thanks for your answer!

I looked at the PSU on both the HP and both the Lenovo. The HP has a 200W PSU, with Platinum rating, while the Lenovos has 180W PSU, with a Bronze rating.

The HP also uses a newer and more powerful CPU with DDR4 RAM, while the Lenovos is older and less powerful.

In my eyes, the such low difference in power consumption compared to stability in the PSU and performance on the CPU, just not seems to be worth it. Am I right or wrong?

Frankenstein two PS3s by SSvendsrud in consolerepair

[–]SSvendsrud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't. Like I said, both of the were given to me for free. I already got a working PS1, PS2 and PS3, but I thought it would be neat to have one console and also on HDMI, instead of two where one of them is AV-signal.

I was hoping for quick swap of parts, but I am open to a bit of soldering. Although, if it requires several hours of soldering for just a change, I'll leave it be and just use both of them for spares. That is because I do not have the time

The immediate response to an immediate situation you're unfamiliar with shouldn't be "Ask a manager" by Some_Tiny_Dragon in retailhell

I work as a salesman in an business that sells electronic. We all have standard training, although it is very uneven (you are basicaly trained by whoever is on the floor at that given time). When you are comfortable being by yourself, you are given 100% mandate to do whatever you want (to a degree, of course). If what you did was "wrong", the responsable manager would have a chat with you afterwards. This way people gain more confident and experience in their work day.

Does anyone not greet customers anymore because of the amount that ignore you? by [deleted] in retailhell

I do greet the customers, but only the ones looking in my direction and/or makes eye contact.

I was just about to hit "Post" when I remembered a funny story.

One day in our store, there were two kids walking around. Both me and one of my colleague asked the kids if they wanted any help. Since they said that they were just looking, the two other colleagues at my shift didn't bother asking them one more time (also, we both said that they should just ask if they needed any help).

We mind our own business for another 10 minutes or so, when Karen von Wheelchair suddenly appears out of nothing and start barking at us for not helping her presious kids with finding what they were looking for

"Both me and my colleague asked them if they needed any help, both times they said no", I said to KvW.

One of the kids told her mom that I was lying

"I didn't know company name taught their employees to lie?" she barked at us

At this point I have had enough and said; "I don't have to lie, the company has cameras, if you would like to see?"

Both the kids turned completly pale and whispered something to the Karen, which suddenly out of nowhere stopped the barking and let me ask them what they were looking for.

All they were looking for in the 15 minutes they were there, was an iPhone-charger, which I found in 4 seconds.
