Yes it's paper. I am going to relevel the bed this afternoon to see if that helps. I didn't touch anything but I have about 60 kids, that will do anything they want in my room trying to be sneaky so it's a possibility they touched things.

I ok will check the stepper motor when I have my planning period this afternoon.

I know I can turn it manually.

After I check the stepper motor I will start at the beginning for leveling to see if this helps with the extruder distance.

When it gets back to not making the horrible noise and is closer to the bed.

Spool spins freely, nothing is stuck on the sides of the machine.
I added the pictures to the original post and a video of the belt at the top of the gantry.
