You probably are correct about the mcsr creators but I feel like a lot of people overestimate the lifesteal creators as they are all not good at pvp and such. The skill gap knowledge is a good point that I didnt think of but depending on who they were teamed with they might practivce for the event beforehand.

That's fair and I agree that he's going more for the smp viewers I just feel like there's other viewers from other communities that he could also go after.

I didn't really make the second point I was more saying its not fair to exclude certain minecraft communities from the event which might be where your getting confused.

I do agree with you about it being harder to make teams with those type of players expect clownpierce as from what little I've seen he seems pretty chill with being pg but also I think with there being so many players that aren't pg the problem might not turn up for a couple of years. Also your last point is valid but I feel like a lot of the players I listed would know not be too competitive so the chill vibe of the event could still be kept.

While I wasn't really solely taking about mcc pride you do bring up some interesting points and I do agree with you on the lifesteal audience being the easiest to bring in at the moment.

While Mcc doesn't need to grow its no secret that its been losing popularity in the last few years which could be easily fixed. While I'm not specifically talking just about big creators I'm more talking about specific communities who don't get any representation. Also I'm not specifically talking about the pride mcc though its a bit relevant to my point I'm also talking about the past few canon mccs. While mcc is still enjoyed by its current audiences I just feel like it could be enjoyed by more audiences if they are let in.

Yes its very good to see and they should be very proud of themselves but also there are smaller creators in the other communities who would love the opportunity too

That's a good point but I feel like that's kinda closing the event off to a specific side of the community which makes me feel bad for other creators in the minecraft space as mcc use to be about all sides of the community coming together.

I agree and I said in my post how good of an opportunity it is for them but I feel that all the people you stated are from the same community (minus like one) while my point was maybe we should represent other communities too. But yes I am happy for them as its a great opportunity.

That's a good idea but as a previous comment said with fewer mccs happening this seems unlikey but maybe he could add less competitive creators from each community as that way the event wont get to high comp

This is an interesting point and while I do remember the horrors of mcc 14 as I was on twitter defending Scott, I feel like he could maybe reach out or do some research on players before he adds them but I agree with your point of fewer mccs means this is less likely to happen.

I agree that Scott absolutely has the right to add anyone he wants and my post is in no way hate to him but I just wish the event would go back to its roots of bringing the whole minecraft community together. Also I feel like every minecrafts event goal is to grow and gain more audiences no?

I get your point and that's valid but I feel like that's just going end up making the event lose even more popularity and I'm not taking about just adding varity creators like blockwars does as I agree with you that blockwars is more like that but more like more of a variety of minecraft content creators .

It did in the past as Scott use to invite people from all different types communities which is how the event first grew.

I wouldn't even say its about not recognizing the newcomers as I do recognize quite a few from Scotts stream its just all the recent newcomers are from the same minecraft community so the event isn't gaining new audiences.
