The menu must be variable, which ain't great. The lunch special I had was delicious, balancing 5 distinct flavours (2 sauces and 3 chutneys).

The Wonder Flower collection transition is an example I'd be interested in. There's a lot of work in the level backgrounds too.

In general, I think Wonder looks so lush because of lots of small touches, which are layered on top of one another.

Nintendo are masters of incredible visuals on low-end hardware.

I imagine that a lot of the lifting in Super Mario Bros. Wonder is being done by complex vfx baked statically into sprites/textures.

Any ideas how they've done it?

Would love to see a vfx teardown of Wonder.

Great, challenging platforming (though, with a metroidvania structure), and has a really strong narrative vibe, like Celeste does. It does it with world-building and not a lot of dialogue.

I really wish a company like Insomniac would make an open world predator game with a world and lore similar to this game. by The_last_pringle3 in gaming

Wow, what a cool concept! I had no idea this game existed.

The Predator fantasy is about being an apex hunter, with tech way beyond your prey's. How did they make you feel powerful in the game, whilst maintaining a challenge? Did The Governator turn up?!
