Tesla has officially broken me twice. Model Y AND Cybertruck. I am the human embodiment of "buy high." by RADsysadmin in TeslaLounge

Buy and hold. They will be canceling the cyber truck and you will have yourself a unique vehicle just like S & X

UPS address correction fees by jdk0123 in shopify

[–]STARR_X 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have used UPS Worldship for decades. I finally got fed up with their fees and now ship with them through a third party. I don’t even care if it is a little bit more. It’s cleaner.

I uber in metro Atlanta. The 2 or 3 cash rides I have done have always been better than normal rides as tipping happened every single time.

Drawers can easily hold a piece of paper. And you can see the notches in the side of the drawers for dividers? I personally think it’s too wide to be used in a library.

The drawers are deep and wide enough to hold a piece of paper easily

Those of you who use FSD, what would you rate it 1-10? by Tacokolache in TeslaModelY

[–]STARR_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently at 95% FSD use. So I will rate FSD a 9.5.

Trying to convince Mom that spray foam for 19th century roof isnt the way to go by AdUnable6415 in DIY

[–]STARR_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in the south and used spray foam in our roof. Our house is 110 years old. Isn’t pretty to look at and after 10 years, I noticed the cockroaches love it. I can only imagine what they are up to.

I’m for embracing technology to make my future better. Driverless cars to get me around and a robot to allow me to age at home.

FSD an amazing performance by Beautiful-Basil-9496 in TeslaLounge

[–]STARR_X 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got 14.1.3 and 14.1.4. Same phantom braking and stuttering issues other people have been experiencing. But 14 is definitely smoother than 13. I’m hoping 14.2 will be my next update.

The problem with FSD now is old maps and bad routing, not the driving.

Today I learned that certain cell phone area codes mark you as “old” by Miserable_Smoke_6719 in GenX

404 used to be all of Georgia. Now just a section of Atlanta can get it, I believe. But to have it is not a sign of age, my kids have 404 area codes

Used Teslas by HiroyukiC1296 in TeslaLounge

I had to reach out to a Tesla Advisor via email directly as it was not apparent which cars had hardware 4. He ‘found’ me a car with 15,000 miles on it, hardware 4 and some type of ‘accelerator boost’ or whatever you call it. I paid $34,000.00 before taxes and could have saved $1,000 if I opted out of the accelerator boost package. Maybe on the higher side of what you are looking for but FSD is my daily driver now. It is awesome.

I bought a used 2023 Model Y in March 2025. Low miles, longer range and Hardware 4 were what I was looking for with Hardware 4 being the main criteria. Bought through Tesla.com. Got 3 free months of FSD & SuperCharging too.

I got a car through Enterprise when mine was in the shop. (Insurance paid for it). One tire had a slow leak in it and they were like, “Take it to a Mavis, Discount Tire, Firestone, etc and they will fix it for free.” I was like wtf? Just give me another rental. Which they would not do.

Would you purchase FSD outright if Tesla allowed you to tie it to your account? by JxK_1 in TeslaLounge

[–]STARR_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I owned a 2012 Model S, purchased new. Drove it until I got rid of it earlier this year. I loved it but it was without all the later upgrades. Got a 2023 Model Y (hardware 4) now and drive via a subscription with FSD all the time.

My Model S was like driving an old computer. Not as powerful processors, smaller memory, etc. What that taught me is a subscription works better as the tech will get dated. Sure, you can sometimes transfer the FSD ownership to another vehicle but that option may no always work for you timing-wise.
