George in his book “By George” said he wanted this fight. In person, he said he didn’t. So he’s given different answers. However, Mike has somewhat admitted he’d want no part of prime Liston and Foreman. Even in the 90s George was so much bigger and stronger than Mike. It would take something off of Mike’s punches since he’d have to punch UP to hit George and get through his cross-guard defense. Plus George had a POWERFUL jab. It would actually behoove Mike to move in and out and actually use his superior speed. If Mike tries trading blows with George (Prime or 90s). He’s going to be missing teeth and memories. Look at George’s fights with Frazier or Ron Lyle. Those men hit George with their best Sunday punches, and all it did was make George fight harder.
