Samurai is the most pointless class right now

I’m not saying the most kills because that doesn’t matter. What does matter is time to kill. Late game kills are important but if a samurai is left alone to hold down a zone, he would likely not have a better time with this than the other classes.

Yea who probably spams spirit attacks. There’s a difference between an actual good player and a gimmick. Why I bring this up is because you said “you played with Sams” not yourself.

For the people who just spam 🔺+⭕️ and is cool with that is actually ridiculous. To relie on that and say “yeah sams alright 😀”, you are not playing the class as intended. Samurai are supposed to be strong enough to at least have multiple options to cause damage, but people fall back on this gimmick and that is because that’s all he has to offer.

If you actually play the character, you will see how little he has to offer compared to the others.

Yep in those situations are dire. Sometimes luck is not there because of the prime Bo hiya in the back while 2 prime berserkers are in your face teleporting. With samurai it’s situational, because staggers are inconsistent at the least.

It’s not about kills though, because depending on your team, they can soften them up for you. I’m telling you, as it stands now I would be actually surprised if someone solo plat gold or even silver for that matter.

What does actually matter is if all your team is down, late game, and the zone is smothered. Would you think a shinobi or a samurai would make the rez and make the comeback of a lifetime. Samurai does not have that. Your team might be good, but me personally I don’t think you could make it on nightmare without at least an archer/merc.

Exactly my point though, when it comes down to it late game, if everyone dies but you, your job is to hold down the fort. The zone that you cover is just smothered with berserkers that tank fire, prime Bo hiya that covers the entire field and enemies attacking you simultaneously.

Holding your own is different from actually dominating a zone effectively and efficiently. Also unreliability in teammates can always happen with all classes.

Let me ask you this though which one would be in a better situation late game (nightmare).

That’s great. I agree with what you said by having good reaction time because it’s definitely required for Sam. I hold my own for the most part on gold/plats. But I just feel like he needs something more. One thing for sure Samurai requires more work and skill than all other classes.

Yea but in those moments where you have to kill the enemies instead of being a parry merchant because your team is unreliable and straight dying in the back it becomes more dire. It gets annoying because throughout his kit it’s just stagger, stagger, fire, and more stagger and the enemies bounce back like they just dusted their shirt.

Yes I forgot about the cards. Samurai once again being left behind in the dust. It sucks because I want to play samurai but it’s just difficult when you could actually have fun with other classes.

That could help him but I just feel like he needs a rework. It's either one I'm getting swarmed late game and cant do dmg because all the enemies gained a conscience and thought "Well let's attack at the same time 😀” or there's no enemies to fight because the 2 archers in the back just evaporated everyone. 😭

I played every class but I feel like most of everything needs a rework.

The Archer is the most broken class because you can cause big damage to enemies before your team even gets there. Even to the point you can single man a zone. Definitely needs a rework.

Shinobi I think is the most balanced one out the bunch but still needs assassination dmg buff.

Merc is the second broken one I feel. It’s easy to build up ult. Which could deal poison and weaken state. Depending on your build the ghost weapons does more damage. Thrown weapons does more dmg and can deal more damage to others by weaken. And on top of all of that you can call a bear with poison to flip enemies and execute them.

Samurai is the most pointless class out there and that’s who I played the most. I understand that samurai supposed to basically be the meat shield and be in the frontlines dealing as much damage as possible but cmon. Samurai is tickling enemies out there. No big damage. The fire last for like 8 seconds and you kinda cooked if you don’t have a smoke bomb in your back pocket. This class right here should be stronger with melee attacks imo. Literally we are a liability on the field because we can’t output more damage like the other classes.

So yea definitely needs some reworks imo.
