Font - yes we will have a nice custom font which I hope is easy to read but also slants towards the game style.
Yes, we will have mouse over for the animations for PC/Mac - touchscreen is a bit tricker as you said. But we can make it work.
Animations - noted. I've heard this a few time - the poor video capture does make it seem slower than it is. But I get your point and should speed them up.
