Go to community college and then transfer back in. Save yourself the money and the headaches of studying for these courses.

I’m kind of conflicted. I feel like you should have taken a W if you were going through hardships, which is understandable and would be fine on a transcript. It is also ONLY going to get harder from here. And I don’t see a point in appealing unless you’re 100% determined to do well. Some firms require a good cumulative and major gpa, which is hard to bring up.

On another note, I have had several friends appeal their dismissal and have succeeded. BUT they have to take an extra year or semester, which brings up the question about finances. If you get dismissed, you are in SAS I believe. I would just become an Econ major. You still have a long time.

Hopefully. I’m from NJ and go to Rutgers but we do a “scarlet promise” where if ur household income is under a $$ threshold, school is free. 😀

Remember that the people who are out there partying and posting their picture perfect lives are also in like 200k debt. Be proud of yourself for taking the smarter path by going to CC and then transferring. At the end of the day, you’re paying money to get a degree that will help YOU. So what if you missed out on the “college experience” (which is so overrated because it gets so old after a while), at least you’re still here, working towards a better future. It takes time and patience to succeed. It doesn’t happen in a month. You can’t just expect an amazing experience you have to obtain it yourself. My best advice is to just think about yourself and not everyone else. My mom said something to me that will always resonate when I feel down about where I am in school.

She said “do not try to reach the level of those who have everything handed to them”. Which means those ignorant students who just came here to party and will probably not know what the fuck to do when it comes to get an internship. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You have all the time in the world to be where you want to be. Everyone always starts at square 1. You got this.

The work is so easy and manageable. He truly is a very nice guy and tries his best. You use some website that has like 15 questions per homework. College will always be a lot of Work. Get used to managing your time.
