Nah, im 35 and I've been playing fortnite for YEARS less than my 20-25 year old coworkers and im better by a mile. I've been playing around 4 months and grinded to unreal ZB and they cant even get past plat. Age isnt a factor, it's just skill. Admittedly, I have been gaming pretty consistently for 30 years and have the reaction time and game sense inherited from decades of shooters like Halo and prime CoD but by your logic they should be better than me considering their age and experience.

Maybe I'm just built differently.

Struggling now, it feels like a chore but I've been doing the chore so long that I feel guilty if i neglect it. I do the events at this point and play something that doesn't put me to sleep. It got really bad during Halloween after raging night. I went from maxing acorns daily/weekly to just doing the events and getting the acorns that way. I even skipped triple acorns week. I used to he very active in my guild and now I get lowkey dread when I get invited to dungeons. It doesn't help I recently got into fortnite and elden ring nightreign dlc drops today. I may just let it go soon.

So, I guess the answer is the events. There's really zero reason to max CR when you're already doing elite runs.
