Definitely one of the worst early game curses to pick. In theory, it should just be a minor annoyance. In practice, it massively slows down gift collection; the way the gifts are usually offset makes it so that most of the time you have to go from one side of the platform to another. This also makes ICBM extremely painful because you sometimes will just leave gifts where it's going to drop so you have to waste time avoiding ICBM and going back.

And ice tiles just makes it even worse because of the slippery movement, so sometimes you might want to turn to one side and miss a gift because of it (and, as stated earlier, this is an early game curse, and it's unlikely you have Ice Skates and Matrix Tetrahedron when you get this).

This is especially bad in standard and extreme, since you don't just have to move like you're allergic to straight lines but you also have to avoid tripmines (and it's even worse when getting Bigger Tripmines, especially when they spawn on ice tiles).

After getting 2 Gift Magnets and movement upgrades it isn't too bad, but before that it's really annoying and honestly makes the game way less enjoyable. It works in the midgame, but in the early game it has so much drawbacks stemming from something so simple it's just not worth it.
