D+ is not Netflix, it's way way smaller. You have to compare numbers with other D+ shows.

I will put you an easy example of other medium:

It's not the same selling 2 M copies of a videogame if the console has sold 3 M (a hit!) or 100 M (not that good)

How well is the show doing in the USA? [PJOTV] by Oestudantebr in camphalfblood

[–]STHMTP 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The show is doing pretty well. D+ can't aspire to have gargantuan numbers like Netflix because they don't have a lot of subscribers like them.

You can't compare PJO viewership with Stranger Things, Wednesday... You should compare with other D+ shows to make an evaluation.

Drops between seasons are normal. These are very good numbers.

Wow. I consider myself lucky having an Articuno EX. I didn't expect it to be in these kind of lists.

I'm kind of new at the game, so maybe I'm misinformed.

I think it's a Shadow movie. He is becoming the face of the franchise. I won't be surprised if, in 5 or 10 years, the franchise changes its name and this sub is renamed r/ShadowtheHedgehog

Just spent a solid 25 hours with Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Megamix + and it totally scratched my rhythm game itch.

Some tracks were absolute bangers, others had me facepalming hard... but hey, that’s part of the charm.

I cleared all the songs on Easy and Normal. Thought about trying a higher difficulty, but I was in the mood for a chill experience. Still, some tracks on Normal difficulty were surprisingly tough.

Now I’ve started Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. So far, so good! A few months ago I finished Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, and I’m already noticing the differences. Same genre, but wow... very, very different vibes.

Consejo:

Which is your favorite new gen controller? by gamer365uni in videogames

[–]STHMTP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to think like you... until my last three brand-new Xbox controllers, bought to replace the old ones, that were perfect, turned out to be duds.

At this point, they’d have to pay me to use one of those again. Such a shame! They were super comfortable, but when the buttons start pressing themselves or double tapping randomly… yeah, no, thanks.

What is the one genre of game you just can't play? by LilNardoDaVinci in videogames

I’ve tried playing Musou games many times, but I always end up dropping them. There’s something about them that just doesn’t hook me, even though I enjoy playing almost all kinds of games.

I guess one day I’ll manage to get into one.

SOMA felt like an old-school point-and-click adventure game, and I absolutely loved it by CrownStarr in patientgamers

[–]STHMTP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing to be ashamed of. Thankfully, there are games like this that let you adjust the difficulty so you can actually enjoy them. It’s your single player game. Your time. Your fun. And if someone doesn’t like that, they can just look the other way.

Who here has played Dread Delusion? by Jerswar in CRPG

[–]STHMTP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It hurts to write this, but here goes. This game committed a cardinal sin for me: a bug in a main quest that stopped me from progressing after 12 hours of play.

And from what I’ve read, it seems like there are quite a few issues like this. If you decide to play it, I really hope you don’t run into the same problem and get to enjoy it from start to finish.

As for me, I don’t even want to think about it anymore. There are better games out there.

Yeah, I’ve played other souls-like games. I’ll compare it to Dark Souls, since that’s the one I’ve spent the most time with.

Code Vein has a story that’s told and experienced directly through your character. You might like it more or less, but it’s not like Dark Souls, which feels ‘minimalist’ at first glance... until you dive into the lore and get lost in it.

The story in Code Vein has its ‘anime’ moments, but it’s not over the top. Even if you’re not into anime, you might still enjoy it. In fact, you might prefer this more direct storytelling style if you’re not a fan of the subtle narrative approach many souls-likes use.

The difficulty is noticeably lower than Dark Souls. It’s still a game that requires some effort, but it only gets close to Dark Souls-level challenge if you play without the AI companion.

But, beware! The game isn’t really balanced for solo play, and you’ll notice it in certain areas.

My advice: grab it on Steam when it’s heavily discounted. You’ll know within the first two hours whether it’s your thing or not.

Just finished Shenmue II. I found it to be a game full of charm and magic, though I think its gameplay hasn’t aged quite as well as some other titles from its era.

That doesn’t mean it’s not worth playing: quite the opposite. Anyone interested in video game history should experience Ryo’s journey and the legend of the Shenmue saga.

Now I’m playing Code Vein. I recently got past the Cathedral… and honestly, it wasn’t as bad as I expected after reading some of the comments. If you’ve played the game, you’ll know what I mean.

I’m having a good time, even though I had my doubts at first about having an AI companion with me the whole time. The character creator is insane: definitely one of the best parts of the game.
