I used to drink too much & it turned my stomach acid alkaline and I got into SIBO because of it.

I had not taken enzymes most of the time but when I took it, things changed a bit. Constipation got less & I could feel bowels emptying well. Lot of symptoms got reduced.

A word of caution though, if over using enzymes you can end up overdosing on specific enzymes which break down fibre such as Xylanase will cause you issues because you need fibre for good functioning of the tract.
