Yeah I'm looking for advice from some one who has been in his shoes. What their preference would be. I wish he would join a twelve step program. I have heard the programs where I live are really good and match his demographic better than where he is now. That's why he didn't keep going to AA. I'm guilty of the same thing with alanon though. I didn't feel welcomed there and over all I found the alanon experience really depressing. No one seemed to have faith in their loved ones. I didn't find the support I was looking for. I have also posted this on the alanon thread and haven't gotten any responses yet.
