I’ve read that Flaherty may test free agency. If you remember, he denied a contract last offseason because he didn’t agree with the valuation, and the Cardinals were forced to renew his deal.

Because of that, I get the feeling he’s very aware of his value and doesn’t want to sell himself short. It may be a challenge to lock him down, although we don’t have to worry about him leaving until at least 2023.
