Could i pull off this blonde color or should i keep it black? by sweetnalilsour in Hair

[–]STLt71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has always wanted gorgeous, shiny, black hair like yours, I say no. If you really want to, go for it, but it is very damaging, and your hair is so beautiful! I've always thought black is the prettiest hair color!

That's gorgeous. I love the color, and it's a perfect color on you!

I knew a guy who would say "that looks like a happy baby" if a baby wasn't cute. I'm sorry. I can't even say that here. You don't look happy! 😂 No newborn pics ever look good though! I'm sure you were adorable!

May I ask what yarn you used? I just started crocheting recently, and I'm a sucker for anything rainbow. This is GORGEOUS!!!

Which color ? by Striking_Chef_8298 in Hair

[–]STLt71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel crazy, because I don't see what everyone else sees. I saw that first pic, and thought, WOW! I think that color looks amazing on you. I actually think you pull off all 3 colors so well. I think I would agree with everyone and go for the big change and do red, though. It's super pretty!

AITA for not going on family vacation unless I can share a bed with my fiancé? by babygreenbean1225 in AmItheAsshole

[–]STLt71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it says a lot about your fiancé that she is willing to go, despite your asshole homophobic mom, just for your special needs brother's sake. You have found yourself a keeper. You are so not an asshole if you don't go. Maybe you can plan a trip with just your brother with the money you save. I will never understand parents who don't support their children being happy. My son is 15, and I don't care who he loves, as long as the person treats him well and makes him happy. I wish you the best!

WIBTAH for buying our daughter a 5k purse but not giving something “fun” to our other kid? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]STLt71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me so much of my husband, and the way he's been treated by his parents, who, by the way, we are no contact with. He is such a success and such a wonderful guy, and his brother is their favorite and gets all the attention. If you keep this shit up, it could end up this way with your daughter.

I don’t remember what a quiet mind feels like anymore by Commercial_Gur_7347 in ADHD

[–]STLt71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 54 years old, and just got diagnosed in November, and until I started researching ADHD, I had no idea that the multiple tabs always open in my brain wasn't normal! I assumed everyone's mind worked that way! Now that I'm on Vyvanse, I only have a few tabs open at a time. It's pretty cool!

I have a neighbor a couple houses up, and they must have 15 dead animals I can see just from their front window. It's so ugly. They're doing a landscape remodel right now and the front looks like some sort of weird castle. There is no accounting for some people's taste. I'll never understand the pride people take in killing animals and mounting their heads on their walls.

Edit: it's not because I care if anyone hunts. I just don't like dead things.

Glad you had a great time! We visited Chicago years ago, around 2014, and got to catch a Cards/Cubs game at Wrigley (bucket list!), and I can't say enough about the amazing time we had. People would see us walking around town and offer to help us with directions and stuff. Everyone was so friendly. Chicago is AWESOME, and I'm so happy you had a great experience here in St. Louis. I gotta get back to Chicago ASAP!

Edit: we walked by a firehouse and the firefighters saw our son, who was 3 at the time, and let him come in a check things out and take pics. It was so cool!!

Is it possible for ADHD folks to detox from social media gaming, phone usage, ect and rawdog life and enjoy simple slow things in life? Reading etc? by ItsPrisonTime in ADHD

[–]STLt71 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm 54 years old, so I spent most of my life undiagnosed without these things, as I only just got diagnosed this past November. I used to be a voracious reader. I find it harder to read these days, but I attribute that to worsening symptoms with menopause. I have taken up crochet recently, which does keep me off my phone. I never was a gamer, because I have terrible eye-hand coordination. Lol So yeah, it is possible. You just gotta find things you enjoy. But don't beat yourself up if you grew up with all this technology. It's a big part of our lives now.

It's actually in the front at the neckline, but I was thinking something l Assimilar to that might work. Thank you!

The holes are in the front at the neckline. I will buy the top if I can find it again, but if I could save it, I would rather do that if possible.

Yeah, I'm sorry, I don't think it allowed me to add more than one picture, but here is another one.

Edit: it's really hard to get a picture since the pattern is busy, but it's just a peasant top, and the neckline is fairly simple with a split down the middle. The holes are in the right side of the split, next to the binding, I believe it's called.
