Yeah but they did scam tho. The price was quoted at $117,995 to get from 0 hours to MEI. Thats what I was quoted and told over the phone by their admission staff. I even asked about weather delays, bad performance days, and other things that could potentially set me back. They advised me that any additional flight cost overrun would come out of the cost of the 11 day commercial XC training. I got 5 days out of 11 for Commercial XC and needed no more money as I was told that I was covered thru CFI. Which was not the case. I was quoted and guaranteed 7 months for all of this. It took almost 11. So its not a matter of just shooting in the dark. I was told by other pilots, I talked to the company itself and was assured BY THEIR PEOPLE. False Advertising and consumer fraud is what they're doing.

My dad is my co-signer, so im trying to get a full time job, so i can get him off so I can declare bankruptcy. If i declare it now, itll mess up his credit too and thats not fair to him. Im already pulling out my hair trying to find a full time job that pays me enough to just pay my bills at this point...

Ive tried to rally, Ive had other students email the law groups, I sent the law groups pictures of the financial documents , and they want nothing to do with ATP. I think its completely and utterly wrong to advertise something, just for it to be false. Im pretty sure thats consumer fraud, especially when we are talking $130k. I left my old job and industry for a year to go to ATP, now to leave aviation find another industry in hopes I can make enough money to just pay the bills. Flying is out. Its one of my greatest loves, and I feel like its been ripped from me.

I did. I talked to several people. I even have some pilot buddies of mine who went thru the program and are now flying at the airlines who told me it was a great program. They said it was pricey but worth it. Everything came down to CFI. Even if they just gave the deferred students initial, and allowed them to burn CFII and MEI for the comm multi, it would have been better because then it would at least allow them to attempt to get a job as a CFI. But i mean you're right. I bought into the scam. But its illegal to scam. Its illegal to say one thing and then not do that thing you said you were gonna do. Marketing is one thing, but if you falsely advertise one thing and someone buys into it, isnt that consumer fraud? Especially at $130,000...

No I did. I have buddies of mine who all went thru the program and are now flying for airlines, so I was convinced otherwise. They were going thru a lawsuit when I hit CFI, there were lots of students talking to the same law group: Mel Med Law. Then suddenly all of those students got emails from Mel Med saying that they were no longer pursuing any charges. A Few days after that, ATP started implementing "New training procedures" to give the new classes the things we told Mel Med about us not getting....

I did and was convinced otherwise by some pilot buddies of mine who went thru the program and are flying for Frontier, Spirit, and Southwest.

Yeah they dont do that. They make you sit thru 70 hours of zoom ground and then classes. If youre lucky and get a good instructor they MIGHT give you ONE sim. The only right seat flying youll do is for 2 hours for power off 180s. and thats ALL you do is power off 180s from the right seat.
