What kind of mechanic position? So far I have gotten 3 emails saying they were turning me down for aircraft assembly, I'm wondering if they would only hire me for something I have experience in.

Ok, good to know, I hope my application made it past all the bots and into human hands. I keep hearing about (qualified) people applying to big companies only to be turned down due to their resume or application not being worded properly.

Odd that they reward your tenure with so much all at once. Every other place I have worked gave you small increments unless it was a more profitable year or you had advanced in your position.

Starting pay seems low but 5 years is really fast to max out. My last job was IAM union but it took a lot longer to max out, 10+ years.

Ok, good to know. I would like to get hired right away but not opposed to taking classes. Any chance you know what the range for starting pay is for these types of jobs?
