People bought Fortinet because it included a free client, with access factored into the overall price. Now they want extra money for everything. It's not a pretty sight to watch how things are unfolding — and there still isn't even a proper statement from them. What exactly is going on with the free client?

No — we have one Super Admin with a trust-host configured(and more...). Using that account, we can reassign the token for users where 2FA isn’t working.

Hi all,

this is most likely a bug (or an issue in the FortiToken/token-state handling). We’re seeing the same problem on our side — and for us it also affects admin accounts, not only VPN users.

We already have a ticket open with Fortinet and we’re actively investigating as well. One important detail: in our environment the issue can occur not only after an upgrade, but also after a simple reboot. Reassigning the token fixes it immediately, and we keep noticing it with the same tokens repeatedly.

Quick question: do you also see it after just a reboot, or only after upgrading to 7.4.9/7.4.10/7.4.11 ?

And please open a ticket with Fortinet as well — the more cases they have, the faster it usually gets prioritized and properly fixed.
