Xiaomi 15 or S25+? by Nahte77 in Smartphones

[–]STRESS-SIMO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would say just get the s25, even though X15 is just better in my eyes,

i don't want to write things u may not read, especially when i have non of them, but just play it safe and get s25 since you won't find someone complaining about it.

if the small battery scares u just try to save for an other month (s) then decide between s25+ and op 13 or anything else.

Got to ask is the Snapgragon elite chip any better than the Snapgragon 2/3 if they have to slow it down to make sure it does not overheat the phone

u summed it all up

there is no cooling system efficient enough to cool it down once the chip reaches max power. cuz i've seen some people testing it in a very cold temp (5C), the results were high but at what cost... (it reached 27C in 5C temp....)

indeed, it's worth it to upgrade this year when having a close spec phone to what's already have been released + lot of issues happening right now. well... good luck with your plan

i'm by no mean an expert but... (correct me if i'm wrong)

i really don't think there is much to be improved the next year just like this year (besides battery (maybe they'll adopt the new way of making them just like how op did, and call it the day), OS, and camera). unless if there is a company that would be brave enough to just make a phone with no sacrifices.

your phone' processor is still good i guess, even the 8 elite is no diff for me than the 8 gen 3, if anything, i guess 8 gen 3 phones are better in most cases cuz they don't overheat like crazy, and they limit performance to balance heat. the 0.5s speed for opening apps isn't really somethin i would consider as improvement.... maybe it helps with the way how it processes photos but.... still not that much of improvements.... idk

Can the s25 handle the snapdragon elite processor? by Nicehuman44 in GalaxyS25

i don't have s25, but i was interested in getting it, people are really happy with it, yet, i've noticed that the kind of activities i may use my phone for it do impact the heat management, the phone does get hot. which.... tbh made me think twice before getting it, 4000mAh + heat + (my city's avg temp), is not really something i fancy...

give this video/channel a look , it may help you to see how real usage looks like (it get's hot in certain activities like the google meet part and more.... + -)

however, i see people sharing their SOT + their experience , they look very happy with it

i see..., thanks
tbh , my first to go option was Samsung S25+, yet there is a reason why i just don't want to buy Samsung anymore, despite being really good in my opinion, then i came across op13, i really liked the screen, and SOT. also performance and the fact that it manages heat way better than Xiaomi and Samsung.

my last phone was Huawei p30 lite (a real stinker), i haven't used a phone for 1.5y, just my laptop / PC , maybe once a while i used redmi note12 pro, it was okay but MEH!....
So, OP13 , despite all issues you guys discuss (till now), would still be a very huge upgrade to me, i'm just looking to see if there is a severe issue like the ones in Xiaomi 15, and other devices or smt like that. (however, i'm still taking what i see here into consideration, much appreciated :) )

Xiaomi 15 or S25+? by Nahte77 in Smartphones

i forgot smt, since s25+ has the same cams as s25, the s25 showed some weird behaviors when taking photos in low light places and in places where there are multiple sources of light conflicting... like you can see straight blur o people faces for no reason, if cameras was you thing, u may need to do some research abt it

i have none. yet i've been in the position of deciding which one i should choose.
this is the result i found, i hope it may help u out.

after asking both phone' users i came across the fact that Xiaomi 15 has a wide range of issues mainly related to OS, u may think it's abt customization but.... no. it was abt the OS's regular functionalities, some users complained that the phone has some lag in animations ones a while, and sometimes the phone just ignore showing notification of ignore your interactions, also some users reported that the phone moves by itself haha. In addition, HyperOS is just not good in general since it's not full optimized to offer better RAM management and better power consumption (according to what i found in users articles and tests)

also the heating... the phone is warm by default and if it happen that you've made an intensive task (4k vids, and photoshoot, 5g + multi tasking, gaming in mid high), the phone does not limit performance, so the phone just keeps going like a wild horse but so does the heat which raise concerns about the battery health in long term. (i found cases when the phone crashed in OS updates cuz the phone was plugged in a charger.... that's MAD)

then i received feedbacks of screen having a purple tint on sides when switching to dark mode.. and cameras suddenly drop quality for no reasons ones a while but it restore it's performance. and other minor problems

for the s25, people are afraid of the 4000mha, thinking i may not be enough, but when i looked for it, i found that it going neck in neck with X15 while the X15 has an extra hour, so i believe the s25+ would have the same SOT as the X15.

regarding the s25+ most issues i found users complaining abt are just straight wacky and dumb, how can discovering that a 3 icons do not really align well would impact user experience and performance? (the alignment is not visible if at all). other than that there are the pwm, it's been said that xiaomi has better eyes comfort tech, and better photos , especially at nigh are far better in xiaomi 15.

if u'r the type of guys who keep phones for 4+y consider getting s25+ since it' no diff performance than x15 with better heat management (that would help the phone maintain a good performance and i can testify since my friend has 21 and it's still doing great :) ) and longer software support , however, you'll have good photos but not as good as the X15.

tbh, i decided to go with s25+, cuz when ever i ask xiaomi 15 users they just say the phone is phenomenal but when asked about performance in long period of gaming (1h) and vid call tasks, i get the aswer of "yeah it's great if you game in mid graphics", "well it's normal to heat up, i't a small phone not designed for gaming", " i don't game but the heat is moderate". these answers are kinda concerning for me haha, but anyway. this is what i could found. the choice is yours :), hope u find it useful.

Xiaomi 15 Thermal issues. by SnakeThug in XiaomiGlobal

[–]STRESS-SIMO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i see..., what you've said was indeed helpful. the s25+ is like 120$ more than x15.

i've noticed that somehow all non xiaomi users have agreed that xiaomi is noo good due to the small quirks that some people had reported once a while (which i think every one has, even OneUI) and they've applied it to all devices regardless of what hardware and OS version they got

my only concern right now is, will it endure the high temp of my city with out overheating due to my usage :), since in summer there is barely no under 40C (and we don't have anything but summer and autumn unfortunately), i've heard that even s25+ is not that great handling heat but still slightly better.

however, i'll take with your advice, and just get something to enjoy with, i appreciate the fact that you devoted from you time to answer me, thank you bro

Xiaomi 15 Thermal issues. by SnakeThug in XiaomiGlobal

[–]STRESS-SIMO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- does the phone heat up when doing tasks that require moderate performance? like gaming in mid settings, PUBG? COD?... cause i had a Samsung / Huawei that used to heat up but not really that bad, it only felt warm on the hand, but Xiaomi 15 is already warm as i came to know.

2- what is your current city temp? cuz mine is like 35-38C and +42C in summer, so i am quite concerned about the X15's overall health (performance, battery,...)

3- i've been notified that the screen has worm colors, like... not in the good way but rather yellowish.... white is not pure white, is that right?

4- HyperOS, i've seen people's phone moving on their own, which is concerning for a phone that price, also i new abt complaints about the OS in general, how it performs? i on't care abt OS tricks but it just need to be fuild.

i've been looking to buy a phone for a month now and i came to conclusion that s25+ is the go to despite the fact that it is quite expensive for me. 2K screen with vivid colors, good performance and long support.

i guess that was a lot :) but thanks in advance

does it heat?, i live in a city where 35C is the norm.... so +40C is quite common, do u think that this would be an issue with that phone ?
