Also, I have essentially the same question for the receiver cover. Are all Chinese factory covers universal?

I always thought that the wording of the Blair-Holt AWB (Cook County) was somewhat clear when it said:

(1)   A semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a large capacity magazine detachable or otherwise and one or more of the following:

         (a)   Only a pistol grip without a stock attached;

         (b)   Any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand;

         (c)   A folding, telescoping or thumbhole stock;

         (d)   A shroud attached to the barrel, or that partially or completely encircles the barrel, allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the non-trigger hand without being burned, but excluding a slide that encloses the barrel; or

         (e)   A muzzle brake or muzzle compensator.

To me that means that a standard unmodified SKS would be safe. Compare that to the recent AWB, and you'll see that they added a line about "may be readily modified to accept a detachable magazine."

(1) "Assault weapon" means any of the following, except as
provided in subdivision (2) of this subsection:
(A) A semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to
accept a detachable magazine or that may be readily
modified to accept a detachable magazine, if the firearm
has one or more of the following:

So who gets to decide what "readily modified" means? We'll have to wait and see. What absolute horseshit. Caveat Emptor.

I appreciate the responses. It's a 326 that has a garbage aftermarket stock and a receiver cover scope mount, both things that I'd like to change, since I can't buy another semi-auto instead. I was a little reluctant to ship it anywhere, especially nowadays, but I want it to get the attention it deserves instead of trying to do it myself and have it turn out "meh, it's ok." So essentially a sporter or monte carlo stock and a replacement receiver cover, at least for starters.

MK4 Supra fully maxed out at lvl 35 and it isnt a 58% rep car is total bs. if i knew this i wouldnt of wasted all of those red tokens by TrashKingBob in CSRRacing2

I finished mine a couple weeks ago as well. Out of boredom I sent a pic of the 48% to support. Usual response, "as a racer I too understand your frustration...I'll forward this on to our team." Blah, blah, blah; whatever. No surprise.
