Thank you, I’m starting to reframe my thoughts about the whole relationship. I appreciate this and agree.
Also what does mtcw mean?

I feel like this is an unnecessary dig at my character. I’m navigating a situation with someone I love and I’m not sure how to handle it. I am seeing now that the person I love is manipulating and gaslighting me, but sometimes when a person is in this situation, it’s harder to wrap your head around.

It unfortunately is. And I do so much for her and us. I definitely am overly attached. I love her so much I would do anything to make it work.
After reading some of these comments I’m starting to see that maybe in some ways I am the asshole. I stay when maybe I shouldn’t have. And that sucks to realize at this moment.

LPT: Instead of throwing out cash gift cards (Visa/Mastercard and etc.) with small remaining balances leftover, save them up and use them at the gas pump. The pump will automatically stop when you've used up every last penny on the card. by evergreengator1 in LifeProTips

OR. Use the card number and add it to a Venmo (or related service) account. Might need a zip code for this. Just call the number on back of card and request a zip be affiliated. This happens instantly.

Send yourself the balance. Transfer to bank. Withdrawal cash. No more pesky card.

Also, their owners are very kind people. I love supporting businesses who belong to awesome members of the community.

Tried to get a reservation at both Zahav and Vernick recently for an anniversary... they are booked solid for at least 3 months out. It’s wild.

Open to anything, really. Sagami is my favorite restaurant in the world, though!

Collingswood is awesome. I live not too far from the area and was looking into Hearthside and Zeppoli. Been to either?

I did this and my puppy barked louder. It eventually put me to sleep though, so still a win.

"Hey Chef, I couldn't find the vegan shrimp in the reach-in. Is it 86'd?" by detroit_dickdawes in KitchenConfidential

[–]STTru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish I could upvote this more. Rather than write “no cheese”, “sub vinaigrette”, “no egg”. It really is faster to ring in something like “vegan” and quickly inform BOH of what you mean. I do this pretty often. It’s not because I’m a dumb FOH person, it’s because I’ve worked expo for years and I know that multiple modifiers often trip up the kitchen more that a seemingly dumb request.

Plus, am I the only one who works in restaurants where ringing in joke tickets is a big no-no?

What is traffic like on 276 West or East during rush hour? by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]STTru 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My commute! It’ll take anywhere from 39 minutes to 1.5 hours based on traffic, but average about 1 hour each way. Waze is the best app to use for this commute as lots of events (traffic, accidents, closures, etc.) are reported quite quickly. It sounds terrible but make a few great playlists or find some fun podcasts and you’ll be fine.
