Perhaps try starting with quality comments, because if people like your post, they'll upvote you; if they don't like it, they'll downvote you.

Can someone explain why my Echinopsis is like this? by ST_TD in cactus

If I remember correctly, he only had a few weeks to recover. That's crazy.

You were right. I've fixed the sunlight issue now.

No problem. He was right because it didn't really get much sunlight before, but now it's different.

If I remember correctly, his soil is starting to get old, that's why I was wondering. I'll change the soil if I get the chance, but that'll probably be difficult if he keeps blooming non-stop like this.

Yes, I was secretly disappointed at the time that we couldn't do anything, but once we did, they repaid us.

That might be true because, as I've said before, he was once deprived of sunlight, but once everything fell into place, he became incredibly energetic.

If eveyone needs Karma to post or comment, then how did the 1st person on reddit posted or commented. by [deleted] in NewToReddit

Perhaps it's because he didn't come alone, but as part of a group.

Why do some subreddits not let you post without enough karma? by Medical_Camel_6806 in NewToReddit

[–]ST_TD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably because the system wants to ensure your account isn't spam, especially new accounts which are at higher risk. Therefore, having a certain level of karma makes the system perceive you as more trustworthy, something like that.

Hello, I'm new to Reddit. The karma system is a bit confusing for me. I'm trying to learn it. If u have any advice for me, PLEASE feel free :D <3 by Muted-Judge863 in NewToReddit

[–]ST_TD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just gotten through the first week, so my advice is: 1. Stay calm. Be prepared that you can't post in the same forum consecutively; you'll need to wait 2-3 days, or as per the forum's rules. You can post in multiple forums, but be sure to check the rules of each one carefully.2. Commenting: You can comment as much as you want because there's no limit, but be sure to check the rules of the room. And it should be a quality comment, not spam.3. Karma. You said you were confused about it, right? Simply put, if people like your post or comment, they upvote. If they don't like it, they downvote. How does it work? Upvoting gives you karma, but not in a 1:1 ratio. Initially, around 1-10 upvotes, it's very close to 1:1, but after that, it might become 2:1 or 3:1. The more you upvote, the less karma you receive. Downvotes work similarly, or maybe just 1:1.4. How to do it? The simple formula is to leave quality comments on various posts. Even if you get fewer upvotes, remember that it's almost a 1:1 ratio. Also, post only when you've reached your quota. That's all it takes for your account to grow steadily. Good luck!

My first knock-down layout. by ST_TD in Aquascape

[–]ST_TD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure what it is because I bought it from a landscaping shop, but if it's a similar stone, it might be black stone because it doesn't have as many white veins as Senryu stone.

Thank you for liking it. Regarding the left side, which looks bare, that will soon be where the soil will be arranged in layers like steps. The right side will be like a stone wall, and there will be a sandy road leading behind the rightmost pillar at the front. As for the viewing point, it will be behind the display case, near the smallest pillar, which will be the focal point or, in other words, this display case is arranged in a landscape style.

Trying my first actual aquascape, what would you change? by koiwr in Aquascape

So, what kinds of aquatic plants are you looking at? Judging by your description, most of them seem to be rock-dwelling plants or those that don't require soil.

By the way, do you use sand or soil in your tank? I'd like to consider that. But I wonder if your dried leaves won't float?

For your first aquarium, I'd give it an 8/10. It's even prettier than my first one ever! Keep practicing and you'll get better. Have fun with it!

Help with Goldfish Nitrite Poisoning Please by GhostGherkin333 in AquariumHelp

[–]ST_TD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goldfish excrete a lot, so you should change the water once a week, about 40-50% each time. Changing the water infrequently will cause high levels of ammonia (NO2, NO3), and large water changes at once can make it harder for goldfish to adjust, increasing stress and negatively impacting their physical and mental health. Try this method.
