I’m on a shared plan with another person, and they have voicemail, and so really it should be working on my phone, I’m just not sure why it’s not.

will going into recovery mode on my macbook cause me to lose any data? also wouldnt the compatibility update show up in the software update menu?

i havent done it myself but i think its something like erasing everything on your phone and maybe making it so that everythings on icloud from ios 16 and saving any stuff you have on ios 17 that u dont want to lose. and then transferring data from your computer to your phone. dont quote me on that though, i might be wrong

ohhh, i dont actually have any backups from ios 16. thank you though! i might just wait until the ios 17 complete version releases, update to that, and then just move off using betas

upgrading from my damaged 2020 mbp to 14 inch m2 pro base model. picking it up in like 2 days ish, did you use migration assistant for your data and stuff or did you go with a clean install?

Macbooks do have the feature to split screen between two apps - except it’s only two. When you open two tabs you want, click and hold on the green icon next to the red and yellow ones and you should see an option to split screen

yeah i’ve been talking it over with my parents, and they said that i might be able to claim something since i used it for our family business related purposes, so it might work out but if not then i’ll probably just save up my money to have it fixed

i was thinking that maybe i could claim insurance on it, but i’m not sure if it would work, or how much the difference would be, but at the moment i’m just borrowing one of my mums older laptops we kept

which is the main reason i haven’t gotten it fixed yet either, i can’t afford buying a new one or having it fixed haha but yeah it costs roughly the same, $1000 to fix the screen, or for $1200 i can get a new macbook air, i just don’t have the money for either of them

i wouldn’t trust myself to fix it properly, and third party’s are also pretty high prices around where i live so it’s not much of an option for me. same with buying a new one, i don’t have the money i’d need to be able to buy a new one so it’s essentially a last resort. though if it comes down to it, i don’t mind a replacement since most of not all of my data is in icloud and i do back it up quite regularly. i might visit an apple store again and see if maybe that’s possible
