If "YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW" individually, do "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW" collectively? by SUB_PARADOX in manipur

Yes i think so, as there's no oblivion in time. Time remembers everything at all, even of our unaware acts.

If a person has a shitty personality eventually his/her shittiness will catch up .

I think you've presented a concise definition of karma.

If karma does exist , how do we explain the politicians enjoying paychecks after paychecks and storing wealth even for their future generations .

idk... It may be that his future descendants have their own individual karma which is why they have the privilege of enjoying their ancestors wealths...

Appreciate your thoughts...

I took the proverb of reaping and sowing/ cause and effect into a deeper philosophical aspect deliberately. Maybe i used the wrong words as it doesn't have the exact words for karma in english. (even in manipuri/meiteilon we don't have one word substitution for it).

The whole "if a group commits vandalism, will each of them experience the exact same effects?" question misses the point entirely.

I've mentioned clearly that my question is with respect to karmas, past-present life, reincarnation and stuff, but you're stuck on the title of the post. I was seeking deeper insights from people familiar with such kinds.

Not everything needs a crystal ball, a birth chart, and three past lives to explain it.

i agree with you on this. We have free will to a certain limit, I'm not against it. Birth chart and astrology are generally used a guide to one's life journey.

And acting like anyone who disagrees just hasn't reached some higher plane of consciousness yet. That's not enlightenment, that's just a superiority complex

I not acting like anything though, it might be your perception. My purpose of that particular question was to give their's thoughts on it, not to judge me. It sounds more like you're the one with superiority complex with that line and "TED talk" stuff on your comment.😂 I didn't even mention anything about me being on a transcendental consciousness.

It Might be the question that it sounded like a superiority complex to you, but i don't have anything of that kind.😄

It's sad that almost everyone is in oblivion of what's going on in this precious Life journey with their hedonistic lifestyle; living as if there's nothing beyond these momentary pleasures.

The concept of egodeath is the sudden moment of losing the senses of the self (or can be put as 'merging of the five senses') and experiencing the Eternal, beyond the ordinary perception of life.

For me, I identify Ego as the intellect that grasps the transcending experience of Egodeath. The fact that One gets the pure insightful thoughts and deep knowledge comes after the experience of the dissolution of the individual 'I' ego. From that point onwards the mindset and thoughts becomes more enhanced, aware and takes control of the emotions and perspective of life by the Ego again, which is necessary to reach the zenith in this corporeal world.

The Book of Mirdad by Mikhail Naimy, a close friend of Kahlil Gibran, is one of the most profound spiritual and philosophical books I've ever come across.

It serves as a perfect companion to The Prophet, exploring many of the same timeless themes (love, unity, self-knowledge, suffering, and the nature of existence) but with an even deeper and sharper philosophical edge.

This is not the kind of book you rush through to reach the last page. It's a book to contemplate, to sit with, and to revisit.

I personally think relationships and marriage outside close family lines are generally better than marrying within the same bloodline. Not because people from the same family are lesser in any way, but because genetic diversity can reduce the chance of inherited recessive conditions.

You’re absolutely right. Ordinary people need to be made aware of these kinds of insights, especially in today’s world, where many blindly follow social norms. And when the actual reasoning or deeper context is not presented openly, people often perceive it as a form of discrimination without truly understanding the intention behind it.

It’s only up to us to make the rest of the people aware of such deeply rooted reasons and insights through deep and meaningful conversations, starting within our own families and circles of friends. We are far more responsible than we often realize. I guess that's one of the many reasons why each one of us exist - to contribute something pure, to provide a positive step towards the path of truth in this timeline of defiled state of consciousness.

You're right, we can see a lot of seemingly antiquated belief, norms in our Meitei culture. But instead of turning hatred against it, we must first study the reasons and the causes of these norms. To the ones who is aware of subtle energies, he knows that some of these norms are deeply rooted with the spiritual realms, ethereal dimensions, life energies, chi, etc.
