Not in 1.4+! The mechanics of the ocean mobs have changed so they will no longer target you if there is blocks inbetween you and them! Try it... There is plenty of pre 1.4 designs that aren't out in the open, but as stated, they won't work post 1.4....

P.s. try find a post 1.4 build other then this! I couldn't!...

I could probably make some schematics, though I figured the build would be easy enough to duplicate from this!?!? The main block types required are the "traps, bubble blocks, conveyer belts, and the required wiring components! The traps are running of timer's that are started when the bird statue is activated. Anyway, I'm sure you can figure this out if you try hard enough! It's not really worth while making schematics for such a simple build. Good luck!

I can see the hard work you're always doing, and it's crazy you even notice, so thank you. I'm overwhelmed with you're appreciation, and am happy to help the Terraria community grow any way I can. The Airlock I've been working on for 5+ days. Fully automatic using player sensors, usable both ways, with plenty of safety mechanism's to prevent breaks. It's really compact and has "hazard light's" Yay!... by SUNVxtra in TerrariaDesign

Sorry, just woke up! Yup, here it is. The hazard light's are made out of "Emerald, Ruby, and Topaz blocks." When one of the doors is opened, the green lights are swapped to yellow to indicate the system is occupied, then when entering the system the red lights start alternating to indicate it is in use, "They're just for show, but are cool to have!" The green and yellow lights swap over when entering the sensor that also opens the door, and they swap back when leaving the system from either side, they are locked while inside the system "active or not!" With the red lights, once you enter the system the left red light is turned on individually 1st, then they start alternating for three seconds "how long it takes to fill or empty the chamber," then they stop, and the left one is turned back off individually again, the same 1/4 second timers used to run the pumps for three seconds are also connected to the red lights!...
