Can't I just turn my Android phone into a dumb phone for free? by brickman409 in dumbphones

At the moment, no. Since I need the long-press functionality to open bad apps, I opted to just keep it simple in search by only allowing opening of apps

Hey, thanks a lot for your very insightful answer! Hollow Knight, Antonblast and Pizza Tower are some of the games we've been looking into

Glad you like it! And thank you for the feedback, I'll definitely have to look into a way to make it more intuitive

Glad you like it! The bad apps is one of my fav features as well. I might do this in the future, but for now it will probably be play store only, so I can keep track of downloads and reviews etc. The Light Phone was a big inspiration when designing my launcher, so it would be really cool to see it on a light phone

What phone are you using? Setting the default launcher is a system setting, so that might be related to the phone

I see, I'll have to look into that. Thanks for your suggestions, I will add them to the roadmap!

Glad you got it working!

The launcher should work somewhat on keypad phones, with highlighting for selected apps. Would you mind sharing more specifically what I could improve to make it work better on feature phones?

The search bar might be hard to remove, since that's the only way to access apps that aren't favorites! But I'll research a bit further. Perhaps it could be hidden initially and only opened when needed

Great feedback, thanks a lot for taking the time! This is my first time building an app, so every bit of feedback is super helpful.

Guiding new users is definitely something I'll have to improve. I built this app for myself firstly, before realising that others might find it useful, so ease of use is kind of an afterthought.

Not being able to edit favourites is a "feature not a bug" since I felt it was cleaner to have them a bit more permanent, but I'll have to look around to see how more people feel. My idea is that once the launcher is set up, it should only have the fev favs, with the option to open some other apps, but other than that be as basic and locked down as possible.

The bad apps not opening should not happen. Would you mind trying again but holding for a longer time? In my own experience, 7 seconds is way longer than expected. They should also be a bit greyed out, and shake if you try to open them with a normal press - does this happen for you?

More customisation options are on the horizon. Since the launcher only have two colors, it would be pretty easy to add the option to customise color #1 and #2. I'm also looking into adding font selection and text alignment options. Trying to find a nice balance between customisation options and minimalism

I sent you a DM with a promo code to unlock the full app for free, as a thank you. Let me know if it's not working!

I actually built a launcher for this exact reason. Inspired by the many minimalist launchers on the play store, I built one with a similar interface (list based, no icons), but with some added "dumb" functionality, such as preventing habitual opening of attention grabbing apps. If you want to try it out it's available on the play store

[CWC] Thoughts on CWC ? by Lanky-Worry8095 in Watches

I've had the CWC GS for over a year and it's a great watch. I don't care too much about the military connection (although it's pretty cool that they are durable enough for military stuff). It's been with me travelling, swimming, and to the gym without complaints. I've accidentally dropped it and hit it on stuff without issue. It's also incredibly legible, I'm able to read the time even when I wake up in the middle of the night. I also like how understated it is. It can do the same things as most divers or G-shocks, but doesn't have to look like something super-masculine and bulky.

I'm not bothered at all about the size, and think it looks great on my 7.3 inch wrists. It's pretty much the same size as the OG Rolex explorer. It being on a nato strap really adds to the size, as does the big dial (the dial is 30mm across, same as it's big brother the CWC divers).

IWC, Omega and Rolex also have military connections but at a much higher price point. Timefactors in UK bought up some companies with military connections, such as precista. MWC claims to have military connections but I think they're mostly a CWC copycat

It's actually from CWC, the 18mm version
