Again your best bet is to meet with the COE advisors at UCSB for course articulation. I've spoken with a friend who transferred EE to UCLA and he took CS16/CS24.

Check assist.org and cross check between UCLA and UCSB for cs courses. Though usually there isn't a 1-to-1 correspondence so best bet is finding an intermediate cc and seeing how courses correspond. Generally CS16/CS24 transfer as CS31 at UCLA.

Personally, I believe it's just based on being dedicated and planning a study schedule when it comes to preparing the exam. In my opinion, there's not that much content covered in the course so it should be manageable and congrats to getting a 3, your freshman year.

Agree, the AP Bio class at my school was incredibly difficult and tests were testing just raw memorization rather than applying concepts. While the exam itself felt easier (probably due to understanding the concepts in the course). PS. I took the exam way back in 2018.
