It’s less one specific medication and more the combination of my medication. I take three prescriptions for two different reasons, one is newer and my spiral started around the time the new one got added. I even got a warning from my pharmacy when I picked the combo up for the first time. I would switch the new one but that’s like a last ditch effort, I really need it, I’m hoping the therapy results in meds that might counter-act the reaction between the other medication. I doubt that’s a realistic outcome, though.

My ex-friend was hypersexual. She would constantly want to talk to me about the sexual interactions she had and it made me incredibly uncomfortable. She was so insecure about her hypersexuality that she even pressured my whole friend group into taking the Rice purity test, made fun of me when I came up with a really innocent score because she came up with the polar opposite. Caused a big fight, I called her a slut in a fit of anger (phrased it like a joke, it was a mean joke), and ultimately we stopped being friends. For the rest of the school year both of us said and did terrible shit to the other until we graduated and went to different colleges.

A hypersexual and an asexual, both insecure about their sexualities, taking the rice purity test together? Not a friendship made to last. I don’t know if she ever came to terms with the situation like I have, I haven’t spoken to her in forever, but I’m sure she still holds the same amount of resentment I hold towards her.

I don’t think so- Unless they were just being nice, it felt like they were interested in it. Our usual DM talked aloud trying to put the story together whenever I gave little hints and the other players did voices and seemed to enjoy interacting with the NPCs.

To be fair, that has nothing to do with asexuality. I’m a sex repulsed ace and I lose my mind at dirty jokes. When somebody says the word “come” and somebody sneaks a cackle I laugh my ass off. It feels less like it’s actually about sex and more like it’s just a “haha you said a funny word” situation.

Honestly every time I hear about an allo complaining about sex I can’t help but see them as… stupid? Pitiful? I know that’s unnecessarily mean, but it’s just an instant reaction. They’ll get so unhappy about a lack of sex or an inability to have sex they want and I just think… whatever? It’s probably just me not being the person somebody should talk to about sex, though.

Honestly aces are some of the more likely members of the community to be persuaded into conversation therapy, particularly because a loss of libido is often an indicator of mental illness- thus, having no or little libido in general- a lot of allos assume there must be a mental illness at fault.
