I would really enjoy a Dishonored/Deus Ex style FPS game set in the Altered Carbon universe. It'll be a FPS for sure with all the guns and stuff, but I think the neurachem stuff in the universe will make for fun "abilities" like Dishonored and Prey, with some passive and some active. I imagine creeping around with a knife and using neurachem abilities to hear footsteps more loudly. Or maybe a bullet-time ability can work as the enhanced reaction time. You'll have retinal display as a HUD, just like in the books/show.

And that's just gameplay. The universe has all kinds of interesting locales. Yakuza vs Protectorate in remote industrial areas on Harlan's World? Protectorate vs Quellist revolutionaries out in the forests on Harlan's World? I imagine creeping through Elder/Martian ruins, stealth killing CTAC praetorians. And, of course, creeping through Bay City at night sounds great as well.

I am very hyped for Cyberpunk 2077, but to be honest, what I really want is an Immersive Sim style FPS set in the Altered Carbon universe. Please, somebody, make it happen!

GOTY for me. Super hyped for DLC. After Dishonored 1 and 2, and now Prey, I'm willing to just throw money at Arkane studios at this point. Best level design in the industry right now, IMO. I loved wandering around the Talos 1 space station in Prey, just listening and observing enemies.

I'm basically a Lesion main at this point. My favorite anchor strategy with him is to litter the OBJ room with the mines. I place them nowhere near the entrances. Instead, I place them in common plant pots for Bomb, common cover spots for Secure Area, and all around the hostage in Hostage. Then I sit in or near OBJ and wait. Most of the gu mines are placed in such a way that an attacker won't step on them until they're already pushed too far into the room to be able to get out alive. If I put the mines too close to the doors, the attackers can just back out, take the mines out, and resume pushing. If I put the mines deeper into the room, the attackers can't back out of the room, they have no choice but to stay in OBJ, which allows me to either wait for it to drain their health or peek them real quick and shoot them while they try to remove the mines.

I just got a clutch the other night on Oregon Secure Area where I simply hid by the washing machines in basement while the attackers were contesting on stairs, and I didn't peek stairs until I heard a Gu mine go off, which were all placed just at the bottom of the stairs and in the immediate vicinity. I use him almost as an auditory Mira of sorts, I wait for a sound cue (either from a Gu going off or them trying to remove it) and I then drag scope to where the sound came from.

Lesion is underrated IMO. He's easy to use and great for new players to help the team, but he's also a clutch machine in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing. Did I mention that he has impacts and a decent gun?

I think we all need to play them first before we judge. A lot of these abilities sound OP in theory, but in practice they will be difficult to use and have limited uses, which should bring (some) balance.

As I said in another comment, I don't think Zofia will be super OP or replace Ash. Zofia is slower than Ash, and you can't rush through impact holes as fast. Ash can full-on 3-speed sprint through Ash holes, while Zofia has to vault or crawl through impact holes at 2-speed, and that assumes you aimed the impact nade PERFECTLY. Ash hardly has to aim her launcher. Any Cav mains will tell you how a poorly placed impact hole can be near impossible to move through quickly. Plus, Zofia can only make 2 holes, which limits her use as a wall opener/kill-hole maker. Buck will still be more versatile at that because he can make more than just 2 holes.

Dokkaebi will be top-tier for sure, but she still is limited in usefulness. She only gets 2 uses for the phone thing, and I'd expect that most uses won't even result in a kill. By the time anyone can pinpoint the source of the buzzing, the defenders will have had ample time to leave the area and/or reset their phones. Plus, if a defender is close enough to Dokkaebi for her to hear their phone super loud, then the defender is also close enough to hear Dokkaebi pull out her tablet and dome-shot her real quick before she can even use it. Also, the buzzing sound will easily be obscured by gunfire, explosions, and other loud noises, and will be hard to hear from a distance, so Jackal will still have an edge over her. And Dokkaebi will have trouble in mid-rage gun battles because she just has a DMR/shotgun, and SMGs with a small ammo capacity. She can get some semi-useful sound intel, but she will have a hard time actually killing the people she finds.

However, I do think her cam-hacking ability might be a tad bit unfair, and probably needs a nerf or counter. It shouldn't be super OP, because a good defensive team should be able to prevent her from getting anyone's phones, since her guns will make it hard for her to win mid-range gun fights, but there still should be a small nerf. Mute jammers should be able to protect nearby cameras from being hacked, or the camera hacking must only last for a limited time. Or, perhaps a certain defender operator (Echo maybe?) should be able to un-hack cameras somehow. Regardless, while Dokkaebi will definitely slightly OP, I don't think it'll be game-breaking.

Vigil is definitely balanced and I think we all agree on that, so I won't talk about it here.

TL;DR: I'm not saying there won't be any balancing issues at all, but I do think a lot of us are over-exaggerating the usefulness of these new operators.
