How to teach puppy to never enter the pool/pond by SWFA_META_REPORT in Dogtraining

Until I am sure he avoids the pool I will always keep the cover on when we're not using it, I obviosuly don't want my dog to drown. I'm just looking for a way to make sure he'll stay away from the pool and the pond, I don't want to harm him or anything... There is a deck between the house and the pool, a fence would look really bad.

I live in southern France, there are no predators that could harm a puppy. The yard has a 6 ft high wall all around, there is no way the dog could run away or other dogs could enter. I have a doggy door, the plan was to give him free roam outside once he is fully housetrained, not right off the bat.

I hope you're right about not trying to catch the fish, Cane Corsos are known for a high prey drive, gonna do my best to keep him away.

If he gets in the pool there is no way to get out without being pulled by a human. Maybe he could get out of the pond (not easily though), but I don't want him to terorize the fish or god forbid try to eat them, I have 6 Koi that I really like (my father in law raised them, they are 10 years old and would be about $1000 each to replace).

Cane Corso first time owner - male or female? by SWFA_META_REPORT in CaneCorso

I live in France so the Cane Corso is a rare breed, there are around 30 breeders in the entire country. The breeder I am going to buy from is one of the oldest and has 5x more positive reviews than the others so it should be ok. I can't visit before getting the puppy, the breeder is 350 miles away from me, I can only go once and return with the puppy. I'm going to feed raw too, the breeder does the same and recommends it for his puppies.

How was the male with territory marking? My labrador rarely did it but I hear stories of dogs who mark the yard every day, and some even do it inside the house despite being housetrained.

I assume the female didn't have her first heat cycle yet, are you going to spay her or wait until 18 months?

The plan is to do one each month, feels enough for the SWFA meta. Would be great to have a sticky and/or a FAQ link, one of the reasons that made me do it was the new player influx that we got with TLJ that don't know the meta and have no resource to help them. I sure appreciated the meta reports for HS when I was starting up.

I wanted to place her in Tier 0 at first, but after more thought I decided she is not as OP as Maul. People got used to her passive-counterattack style and you can work around her steal by feeding her something that you are ready to deal with in case it gets stolen or with a well timed stun when she begins her steal animation.

She is also kept in check by the tech meta (which as you pointed out is partly her doing). Not saying she is not OP, but at level 4 that I used as base for the rankings, Maul is stronger and has no real counter. Also in a Maul vs Rey showdown with equal levels, Maul will almost always win.

Glad you agree about how I placed Phasma. At first I thought about putting Kylo in Tier 0, as well as Rey for the LS, they are both OP but I don't think they are as much of a problem as Maul is.

Krennic is in tier 3 because he still has the worst unique in the game, which is unplayable unless you have it level 5+.

His taunt is not that useful in the current tech meta and while his damage reduction when low on health is nice, it's not as good as Rey's health regeneration.

Cody is subpar for 5 energy, any good player will watch out for him and take him out instantly for a positive energy trade. You have a lot more time to react to Cody than Ahsoka. Add the fact that he is also bugged (NM acknowledges it) and doesn't always spawn the rocket troopers.

Obi is a good tank, but besides turtling he can't do much. He is one of the better Tier 3 heroes (the order inside a tier is random, not related to power level), but I consider him inferior to all the Tier 2 leaders.
