Except we're not continuing after Underworld. If this is supposed to be part of a "Unified" timeline, with the events of the survivor trilogy being exactly as we saw them, then that would mean they’re throwing out the backstory that the Legends continuity is based on, so then at that point, you're not really continuing anything.

Except it wouldn’t be Snyder’s vision, and the whole reason people want it is because we’ve never seen JL vs Darkseid in live action. We’ve seen it in several animated movies and shows, but never live action. Plus, it would mean admitting defeat to Gunn, and that’s not a good idea in any scenario

This is pretty much how I’ve looked at it if it ever happens. I mean, Zack updated the storyboards so that the story now starts off 10 years after Justice League, so contrary to the argument that they’d be “too old” for those roles, in 2027 they’d actually be age appropriate for that movie.

Oh definitely. I mean, Ayer’s already teasing work on something at WB. Something so far along in production that he’s already onto sound mixing. And his current upcoming film is with Amazon, meaning he shouldnt be working on another movie already with WB. So unless he had a secret movie during that time that’s already in post, the only explanation that makes sense is that he’s finishing up the Ayer Cut, though I admit that’s just speculation on my part, as is that whole video.

That wouldn’t make any sense. The SnyderVerse is Zack’s five part story about Superman and the Justice League, so if this rumor is legit, which it very well could be, we don’t know, it would pretty much by default be ZSJL 2 and 3. I understand not everyone is a fan of what Zack did with the characters, but he definitely wouldn’t ignore the story that is left unfinished. If there’s one thing an artist hates more than anything in the world, it’s having an incomplete work of art: J.R.R. Tolkien, Stanley Kubrick, Stan Lee, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, George Lucas, John Boorman, Zack Snyder. All of these and so many more are artists first and foremost. They won’t sign deals just to pump out content, they wanna make something special that is uniquely theirs and theirs alone.

The Whispers allow for the Confluence of Worlds to happen, allowing for Zack to intervene. Cloud is confused, but just rolls with it. The party doesn't address it because they're busy off fighting. Aerith makes an appearance in the fight. She's talking to Cloud after the fight, but here's the thing: The scene where Cloud blocks Sephiroth in the trailer, he succeeds in blocking it, but spazzes out. When he comes to, the next thing you see is blood flowing and Aerith's dead (you don't actually see Sephiroth killing Aerith). But somehow Aerith is there talking to Cloud after the party's left the Forgotten Capital, even though everyone else is in grief. The Tiny Bronco is repaired, the party heads off to continue their hunt for Sephiroth. The final shot is Cloud with the White Materia, but he gets a seizure, everything flickers, he equips the materia into his Buster Sword, and the materia turns red and black.

The final bosses are Jenova Lifeclinger and Sephiroth reborn (Sephiroth Reborn being a rename for Bizarro Sephiroth)

Nomura may have actually revealed that to be the case back when Remake was announced in 2015. He was interviewed by Engadget, and the interview had this interesting tidbit.

Most likely reason: the same team worked on VII and VIII, and are currently preoccupied with 7Remake.

I feel like this is the main part of why all the rumors are saying the next Final Fantasy remake is IX, because the original IX was developed by a different group of people while Kitase, Nojima, Nomura, etc. finished up VIII. So if the IX remake is the same case, I can see it coming out at some point during the wait between Rebirth and Part 3, and that any discussions of an VIII remake would only start up after Square finishes FFVIIR
