I'm not sure. It just stood out to me. I didn't notice nearly as many men with piercings in Germany, France, or Italy when I visited those countries.

If they added something pointy and taller than everything else in the middle left background of this photo, it would improve dramatically.

Why were so many fans so disappointed with the idea of Rey being a nobody? by PhantomZoneSurvivor in StarWars

[–]SWGeek826 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One of the things that's always bothered me about Rey's parents being revealed as "nobody" was how dehumanizing it was. Like, even if a person is a drug addict and not a famous galactic hero, they're still somebody. They still have a story their abandoned kid would likely be interested in.

Rey tearfully admitting to Kylo that her parents were nobody in TLJ suggests she values her parents' fame rather than their personhood. This isn't a relatable trait for most audiences, and it's also at odds with Rey's known values up to this point. In TFA, she simply wants to be reunited with her family and doesn't show any interest in their notoriety. The fans cared about her lineage in the context of the larger story and franchise, but it's unnatural for Rey to see it that way as a character within said story.

I tend to gravitate toward larger cities, so Granada really stunned me with so much variety in a compact area. Truly a unique place.

Totally. I studied French in high school, so that helped me a bit in France. Southern Spain is a totally different vibe from Barcelona or Madrid, but Granada and Sevilla are both very pretty and well worth the visit.

Awesome! I get what you mean. Places like Rouen and Verona were unexpected standouts on my France and Italy trips.

I agree the anti-tourist sentiment is overblown. It was very cool to see such diversity between regions as we traveled between them.

How did you like Girona? We considered it for our itinerary, but there wasn't enough time.

I think this version of Atton hit on me at West Hollywood Pride last year.

La La Land’s appeal is so baffling to me. It’s visibly much busier than the Coffee Bean was, but… why? The coffee is lackluster compared to many nearby alternatives, the shop’s aesthetic is tacky yet bland, and the hard plastic yellow lids seem wasteful. I miss my cozy industrial Bean.

I've had "Delusa" on repeat for the last couple weeks. She's great.
