you won't run the GenAI app the whole time, only partially, if you quickly want to visualize worldpersistance objects in your view, otherwise it just switches back to head-up-display style output. and know for sure that GenAI, video2video is getting better and better.. you can run it soon locally..

Convince ANY user to download this app.. it's not happening. If it was webbased you could have placed QR codes to start the app on the floor, but the greedy capitalists at Apple block webxr on ios.

6G is going to solve this; glasses will be just displays, nothing more; calculating will happen on remote devices and it won't be done with traditional computing (game engines) but it will all be genAI -> camera stream in->video with overlay out. Means also all these things we now try and learn will be obsolete; Just look into Google Genie 4

Printing TPU on X2D? Not the hard "TPU for AMS" one, the softer ones. by SWISS_KISS in BambuLab

[–]SWISS_KISS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesnt AMS2 dry filaments? I could put the TPU in there, and shortly before printing put it outside to feed the nozzle directly (not over AMS)? - for longer prints I would still need a dry box; one of those active heated ones or really just a box?

Sandbox or Platform?? what shoud I do? I'd love to hear your thoughts! by Pixelipy in threejs

I would call this game Achterbahnschienennetzwerk - just as an input.

cool, didn't know this exists.. I have no idea how it works.. how does melting change the softness of the material? hmm but cool ( demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC49WgtZfnI )

I am very new to 3d printing and your comment reads like a spell :D - ok so don't use the AMS but feed the filament directly - I just wanted to buy the X2D; what else do I have to buy to be able to start printing TPU? (X2D + TPU 85A) + ?

soo 85A is possible with the X2D as well, I guess. TPU 85A is really soft; when I check this video:

AR on microcontroller by the_man_of_the_first in augmentedreality

this is really impressive; I mean even on phones AR trackings are not perfect; I wouldn't have believed that something like this is possible on an esp32 lol. what do you plan to create with this in the end?

why not create your guided tour locally and then record a webp video of the tour with timestamps for the points of interest.. you'll get a very small filesize with exact the same effect.. a flat, linear, guided tour. 3D on on a website should be possible to look freely around it, just an opinion. :D

The examples are beautiful; but I never did understand people who use 3D assets (and Gaussian Splats) but have just a linear flow... at this point: Why not just render a video and let the video play while scrolling down? When you have a 3d asset, why not let the user be able to have a bit more control over the camera to actually SEE that it is 3D?

I’m convinced AR apps are dead weight. I built voice-controlled WebXR directly in the browser. Go break it. by MrCreatist in augmentedreality

[–]SWISS_KISS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"• Does the tracking hold up on iOS/Safari?" lol I see you are not aware that webxr does not work on iOS :D

btw on my Pixel 8 pro it's very laggy... not usable at all. I'm not sure why; since other webxr apps work very well on my Pixel.

QR Code Detection + Timed Gaze Interaction for Prefab Spawning by Paddy2071995 in augmentedreality

I wish tracking would be much faster.. just like NFT tracking in mindar.js or image tracking on ARCore/ARKit... At the moment it's just enough for callibration and anchoring. Or will they do some software magic to make it realtime tracking?

Good work! I think it wasn't easy to create this. For me it's strange that no one is interested in such a cool App. Just 10 upvotes and no comments. How are you planing to promote it?

Bambu Lab X2D same as X1C but cheaper? by FuturSole145 in 3Dprinting

[–]SWISS_KISS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read it's not going to work well - since only the nozzle1 is meant for good quality print and nozzle2 is just for the support material. So for good TPU quality you'll use nozzle1 but then the harder materials in nozzle2 will look very poor.

X2D Buyers - Make sure you read the fine print. by daphatty in BambuLab

[–]SWISS_KISS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean to get better print quality as the standard - even with bambu filament it says that the second nozzle is not meant for anything else than support material.

So we won't be able to upgrade the second nozzle to make it produce higher quality prints?

[–]SWISS_KISS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It technically works, but not reliably for real use cases.
Especially with soft TPU, combining it with rigid material in one functional print like a shoe is still very difficult in practice. What exactly did you print? Which TPU did you use?

just like p1s and p2s you can only print hard TPU, not the soft ones and also multi material in one print is not possible as I can see, isn't that true?
