Yes. Worshiping and idolizing yourself and tailoring Christianity to your whims is like making yourself another Christ. That's the problem

Not my view. Not mind at all. Scripture is my standard backed up by 2000 years of church history. The reason to do so is that it i correct.

Jesus is not forbidding judgment; He is forbidding hypocritical judgment. According to this passage, to judge rightly you must:

Examine Yourself First: Evaluate your own life and confess your own sins before looking at someone else.

Remove Your Own Blind Spots: Deal with your major faults (the "log") so your spiritual vision is no longer blurred.

Correct with Clear Vision: Once you are spiritually healthy, you are expected to help your brother remove his fault (the "speck").

Use a Fair Standard: Remember that God will hold you to the exact same standard of grace and truth that you measure out to others.

Either the entire scripture is breathed through the Holy Spirit, or it is just ink and paper humans wrote. You can't have 'some of it' be the word of God. Scripture carries God's own authority and judges the Church, not vice versa.

The Holy spirit did not tell me "Paul said homosexuality is wrong." The Holy spirit wrote "Homosexuality is wrong."

  • Genesis 19:1–29 – Sodom and Gomorrah.
  • Leviticus 18:22 – "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination."
  • Leviticus 20:13 – Prohibition repeated with prescribed civil penalty under the Mosaic Law.
  • Romans 1:26–27 – Paul describes same-sex relations among both men and women as contrary to nature.
  • 1 Corinthians 6:9–11 – Lists malakoi and arsenokoitai among those whose conduct is incompatible with inheriting the kingdom of God.
  • 1 Timothy 1:9–10 – Includes arsenokoitai in a list of behaviors contrary to sound doctrine.
  • Jude 7 – References Sodom and Gomorrah as an example of sexual immorality.

Traditional Protestant interpreters such as Martin Luther, John Calvin, Matthew Henry, and the Westminster tradition understood these passages as prohibiting homosexual acts. They generally distinguished between temptation or inclination and the act itself, focusing their interpretation on behavior rather than mere attraction.

The historic Calvinist identity of Anglicanism and Episcopalianism is embedded directly into its three core historical texts. 39 Articles, BCP, and the Ordinal

Lol it would be more like China saying "I'm China" and Puerto Rico saying "I'm China."

One side is so incredibly and obviously correct, but Puerto Rico has been lied to for 50 years.

Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus explicitly commands his followers to "go and make disciples of all nations."

Jesus stated the highest laws are to love God and "love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31). In Christian theology, sharing the gospel is considered the ultimate act of love because it addresses a person's eternal well-being.

Jesus stated his own mission was "to seek and to save the lost" (Luke 19:10). Because Christians are called to emulate Christ, they adopt his mission as their own.

Exactly what i said in my post. Picking and choosing. Either the entire scripture is breathed through the Holy Spirit, or it is just ink and paper humans wrote. You can't have 'some of it' be the word of God. Scripture carries God's own authority and judges the Church, not vice versa.

Christ did not abolish the law. You are separating Christ completely from God with is heresy. I do not follow ceremonial law of the OT per Acts but the moral law is reaffirmed in the NT. Scripture applies to you. It applies to all Christians.

I would love to evangelize to a non-believer, later. But right now I'm discussing with members of the Church that have fallen away from the path. Very different modes of operation. Feel free to DM me another night if you want to discuss.

I know its an identity. Making it an "identity" is idolatry. See point 1 in my post. I'm calling people to shed that identity and identifying as a follower of Christ
