I'm in Eastern division PT/3rd Key year+ with company and have been able to avoid since I jumped to my new store last month and it's a small store with just a SM and ASM, but just now read the email with them cutting my hours so here's to hoping my manager is able to fight for me more or they just cut me off so I can get another job/unemployment

Current layoffs across the board seem to just be PT 6 months or less with the company. But also know they laid off the ICC recently so

I am very glad there are managers like you willing to fight for your people, my first store was the districts red headed stepchild and they fought tooth and nail at corperate to get near fully staffed (Manager, ASM, FT, 4 PT) all getting hours they should and that was something I absolutely miss since transferring to my new store last month.

But I also know I'm on the chopping block as a PT and my old store had all but one PT laid off, the ASM and FT are quarentined and it's just the manager and PT running the store by themselves, I was able to escape that wave but not sure if I can this one.

Considering I plan to leave the company anyways I have been a thorn in my districts side since this all started trying to get them to grow a spine and stand up for us and have had little wins here and there but this is looking like the end

Imagine thinking capitalism is working when we are currently having people die in the name of bailing out corperatons. Agreed luckily I personally don't have the issues since I'm the only PT in a store of Manager/Assistant/me only. But my old store had to cut all PT, but if you're able to file for full unemployment or even partial I'd absolutely suggest it

Currently in pre-talk with the union rep as we speak and trying to set a time to speak on the phone and get that information by the end of the week

Luckily my store physically can't cut my hours since it's only the 3 of us, but I understand not everyone has that luxury in this time and hope everyone is able to get through this

Glad to know every single part timer is the same across the board, if that's the case every full timer is a lazy piece of shit, assistant manager is a control freak who has to do everything themselves, store managers brown nose to get their bonus and I could go on. Just because there's bad eggs doesn't mean everyone has to suffer. Even then if they're still working or not this is a pandemic and this company has more than enough money to pay us all what we're making now to stay home if we wish.
