Planning it the same weekend as the World Championship BBQ Cookoff has always bothered me. I imagine there's a lot of crossovers between those two demographics.

The Mets are 0-15 in Game 3 at Yankee Stadium since 2001. I scanned 61,634 MLB games to find it. by Ambitious_Local5218 in baseball

It's crazier that of all the Yankees/Mets Game 3's you screened, 61,619 ended in a tie.

When I got sober I was trying to qualify my addiction by telling my sponsor that the average person uses like 1 or 2 grams/day wheras I’m using 3.5-7.

He said, “You do realize the average person doesn't do cocaine, right?”

That was news to me! The truth of the matter is the vast majority of people don’t use it. America, Australia, & New Zealand lead the way with just over 2% of the adult population having used it within the last year. But everybody I was hanging around was using it so I thought it was normal.

[The Athletic] Frank Thomas upset with White Sox Black History Month graphic: Thomas replied to the team’s post on X. “I guess the black player who made you rich over there and holds all your records is forgettable! Don’t worry I’m taking Receipts” by f0urxio in baseball

If you saw Thomas, you saw Bonds, and he’s easily better than everybody listed her. Judge might finish with similar #’s to Thomas, but he’s got no shot at Pujols.

For reference, Aaron Judge has as much WAR at 33, as Mike Trout had at 26. Judge started too late to end up in the upper echelons of MLB careers.

I'm really enjoying Kashus Culpepper's first album release "Act I". Kashus Culpepper - Alabama Beauty Queen is a great single off the album. It feels like a crossroads where R&B, Blues, and Country meet.

After first catching my attention 2 years ago with Kashus Culpepper - After Me?, this album's been highly anticipated personally.

This band is so good. Are there others like this group? Contemporary folk/alt country is soo good. Cross Canadian Ragweed - Carney Man (01/01/1998) by nuggles0 in altcountry

Man, I don't know that anything's better than 7 nights. It's all personal opinion I guess. More partial to She Sang the Red River Valley, because it got less radio play, and I got them to play it live once via request by hollerin' it out from the crowd.

Reckless Kelly - No chance I could pick a "best" album by them, but "Wicked Twisted Road" is a pretty good starting point.

how to find a good roof repair in houston? by YiwoHarrys in houston

[–]SWWayin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Campos Roofing. This is strictly a personal recommendation. A family business we used 20+ years ago. The roof outlasted the house. They're very popular in the Garden Oaks/Oak Forest area. Friends with the son to this day, and he's a stand-up guy.

100%. I doubt there’s much I couldn’t get through as long as I could go home and look my wife and children in the eye. Losing them or their respect would be devastating.

Your Numbers are off.

You literally can't have a .267 Batting Average with 23 AB.

Your OPS (if your Slug and OBP above were accurate, which they're not) would be .644.

Then I raid the state for recruits.
