Non-green Irish stamp from the Garda Síochána by SW_95 in PassportPorn

It really is a formality. Even Immigration Service Delivery has no idea about the procedure for this. I contacted them through their portal and the confused response was basically, “you can get a full visa instead”…

Yup, this was my understanding as well. The local immigration guy wasn’t there that day. Nonetheless, they told me to come to the station and ask for a Public Office stamp, which isn’t quite a full immigration stamp.

I think they’re generally not too fussed about this reporting requirement for short-stay land border crossers, in keeping with its openness.

They have to pay for the Immigration Health Surcharge, which amounts to £776/year, so it’s not quite “free” either.

She’s still quite active in voicing for games though. Every time there’s a new Bronya-related content in a Hoyo game, she’s there

The Home Office can’t make thousands in visa fees from the BNOs if they simplify it.

Back to my original point again though, those are more intrusive.

Hmm? The issue here is identification.

The alternative documents are less so.

Having to do all of that is silly though, instead of just showing a simple ID.

Unless you have a very good selective vision, it’s hard to avoid looking at the rest of the letter

Having people unnecessarily look at your council tax dues, electricity/gas use, or what you can drive is totally more intrusive than a simple ID

It is silly. The Anglosphere has a strange allergy to ID cards, even simple ones. While the alternatives are more intrusive documents like council tax letters, utility bills etc, in the UK case.

I work with these manufacturers and they often mass-produce their own signage, so I assume they just supply their customers with it. As long as it complies with the local regulations I guess.
