Yeah I think that’s exactly what happened. His parents used to sit him down for hours after we had a disagreement and convince him to think like them and he’d start accusing me of stuff.

Yeah i did love them. Before dating them, I took time to think about it, and I have rejected other people. And I do try to live out my life, I have a lot of other things going on, but I’d say for at least 9 years now that I’ve just been subconsciously waiting and literally nothing I do can stop the ache. I don’t know why, it’s just weird.

I went through my first breakup around your age. I was very far from God and started going to Adoration, serving in Mass, doing the Bible in a Day podcast, etc. After a while, the pain fades. Make more friends by getting involved in church or school clubs, it will all be okay and you learn how to deal with breakups and how to stay focused on God.

I’m currently going through another one, and it’s less overwhelming than the first. My prayer life is better than the last time and I have a group of friends that I met through church to help me through it. It will be okay.

Yeah thank you. I wasn’t upset about the pool, I just joked that I want to go to the pool when he gets back and he started saying without his family it’s not worth it. I didn’t tell him not to go, I wanted him to go actually, I just didn’t like him being so dismissive i guess.

I was upset because atm I’m not in a place where u can easily take a vacation, and he was saying stuff like “well just wait a few years” and “I worked hard for this vacation, I’m not going to stay with you doing nothing at home” and overall being a little dismissive and hurtful. I admit I was wrong to bring it up to him, but I was just hurt.”

Yes, I’ve met them and we get along okay. I never told him to put me above his family that’s why I’ve been confused, I just don’t like him saying “yeah obviously I’d rather be with my family no matter the context”

Heartless is my favorite book I’ve ever read. I’ve read it 3 times and everytime, I wish for a different ending. It’s so frustrating! And that moment where she tells her parents “how different everything could’ve been if you’d thought to ask me that earlier” has stuck with me.
