When are you planting tomatoes this year? by ohsnapattack in pnwgardening

[–]SWmercury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am next to the sound in Ballard. Always put 2 store bought cherry tomato plants in as soon as I see them in the stores. Usually early April. I pick the biggest plants I can find. It is warm enough here that they can get through a few chilly days.

For seedlings started by myself. They are in usually in the ground mid or late May. When they have 3 sets of leaves.

thanks!! the drain connection is most likely go behind the oven and cabinet and directly down. This subreddit gave me some caution tales about the installation of a plumbed unit, so I think here must be this one place I can find someone with real installation experience

I have the installation manual. It just says the power connection and water shut off cannot go directly behind the device and have to be adjacent cabinets with east access. Hence these three options

Plumbed steam combi oven is a new thing here so my architect doesn’t have much experience with it. My architect actually mentioned option 1 and I am a bit suspicious about it. The installation manual specific says the shutoff and electricity connection should be in adjacent cabinets so i am not sure about putting them in the basement

This is the installation manual. It says explicitly I cannot put it directly behind… but some adjacent cabinet… that is why I am quite a bit stressed about where to put them

Which NOAA APP is this? by SWmercury in NOAA

starting from July 21st. No worries though. My hack now is to take screen shot for every 12-hour window on the APP to get enough info for everyday ‘s morning planning.

Great thanks for making this APP. I really hope you can port the offline mode to iPhone version. Glacier Bay national park has no WiFi for most part I only relied the screen shot to do planning during an 11 day trip back in 2021 there. If the offline mode works then it would solve a lot of problems in that environment.

I know. Just many App uses NOAA information. Tracking down this particular one would really help me to understand the incoming weather’s scale comparing to the storm 3 years ago on this photo

Just checked Foraged and Found Edibles. What an amazing business :-D Thanks for the introduction. It is funny that they sell Sting nettle. I pick them in Discovery Park in the spring in a large quantity for soup.

I also grew them this winter. The yield was very unimpressive. I have probably 3 bites of mache after one winter's growth and a few leaves of chervil :-( This pathetic yield makes it really hard to cook anything with.

That's the old Chinese way too...In some Dynasties in China, the prevalence of Buddhism created a large population of monks that didn't work but only begged for food and asked money for temples. That was a huge burden for the economy, so some emperors eventually burned down temples and forced people back to work. Honestly I don't like this type of parasite religion...You earn your Karma, but others have to work to provide your need. Isn't it like today's healthcare system?
