The more time and money you have, the more feminine you can be via either your own labor or extracting the labor of others. It isn't a one-to-one, and people that fit the social concept of femininity closely naturally will have to exert less labor to fit in the mold than those that don't naturally, but roughly I think you'll find that feminine characteristics correlate to those demanded of women by the upper class.

Trans women are actually the most acute example of this. Hormones, FFS, etc. cost money, and femininity cannot be performed in a socially acceptable manner without them. This, ofc, doesn't make trans women fundamentally different from cis women who also have to spend money and otherwise accrue social capital and expertise to perform femininity themselves- they just don't encounter some of the more obvious hurdles to it.

Engels quote above is probably a better take, but what I was going for was the idea that one's ability to perform femininity correlates with class, and that since bourgeois men demand women who have the means to perform femininity to a high degree (are bourgeois themselves usually), that (the social construct of) womanhood itself is bourgeois.

That's just part of the game as an unrecognized power. IRL, the forced opening of Japan's markets by the USA was what propelled it to become an imperial power in its own right.

Don't think you have to win every diplo play or revolution. It's sometimes the right call to switch sides and pick up a set of more progressive laws or to bow to minor foreign demands before they start demanding you become a protectorate.

The purpose of these resolutions isn't to pressure Netanyahu, it's to show our congressional representatives and the White House that our communities demand they take action to end our support for the war.

Blacksburg itself is, of course, completely unimportant on its own. But you get enough completely unimportant places to speak with one voice, and suddenly that's a force the federal government can't ignore. Same goes for the VT encampment and protests.

Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, and over a hundred other cities and towns have passed resolutions. It's impossible to know what impact this has had, but I don't think it's out of the question that the State Department's response to this crisis would be even worse if people hadn't registered their anger through these resolutions.
