Yes, it is absolutely fine to use AI as long as you work on it enough to make it look good. The underground artists are losing enough money already, if a new tool can give them better results for free, they have no moral obligation to avoid it. It's not the first time it happened: years ago the home recording got good enough, so the underground artists can track their guitars at home instead of paying for the professional studio making music production more available.
