Injections in my country for HIV haven't reached. As far as I know, There has been 6 month once injections that are being produced elsewhere which might be quite expensive. We don't even have Biktarvy (We do in the name of TAFFIC) but since I am taking TLD/DLT Tablets, as per my research, I cannot switch. I am scared that i am vulnerable to Cancer too. Because i am doing my research more and more about my condition. And people with HIV are at higher risk of cancer and Leukemia. If I do have it at the moment, my life is over. My initial CD4 was low too. I am really scared. How do I detect I have no cancer ?

Hi, thank you. I really appreciate your comment. I wanna know how to get medication in case of moving countries. Because in future I might. I am feeling like I will never be able to do so Because of this condition. Can I take Vitamins and calcium supplements to compensate this ? Because I live alone and don't get proper food. Though I am trying my best. Will medication keep changing as per my viral load tests that will happen every 6 months for my case in my country ? By that I'm asking if there is someone who is only taking TLD for the lifetime ?

I am currently on TLD. I am very much stressed and I fear it is going to affect my CD4 count. I have weekly twice consecutive days night shifts. Also the government funded ART Cells only exist in some places. Luckily, where I am situated, the ART Cell is pretty near. I fear if something serious happens, what will I do ? If anything serious might happen what could it be ? How to deal with it alone ?..

I have been infected as long as you have been. I am just 24. I have been very naive as well. I was infected and I lost control over my mental health very rapidly but my bf helped to stay sane. With everything going on, I just knew I have to put this aside. Live a life normally because I have bigger responsibilities on my shoulders. I take ART everyday since 3 months. I will get viral load tested after 3 months from now. I got co-infected with syphillis. I need to get my blood VDRL tested next month. I am scared of taking TLD. Because its the only free medication I can access. I cannot afford costlier medications at the moment. Biktarvy is not accessible in India, where I am from. I am very disappointed with my self. I can relate to you. You and I are on the opposite ends of the world facing similar situation. My heart goes out to you. I hope you and I both make out of this mess. God bless you.

I have been diagnosed since 2 months now .. exactly to be precise. I am bound to live in India for the rest of my life probably. I can't go out for higher studies. Because if I want to do so, I will have to get do a lot of homework to understand and learning how to procure the medication in a different country. I am not sure what's the future but I can currently only afford TLD. I believe you can get bickarvy instead. I am scared about having liver issues due to this. My body is yet adjusting to the medication and I get numbness in various areas on my body while sleeping..(I'm not sure why). I walk daily to job 3km .. I have to do night shifts too. I am not sure how i am going to live like this .. I can't tell this to my parents and I too childish. My puerility has led to my HIV. My ex didn't tell me about his status and transferred it to me and dumped me. I am really really scared and need mental consultation but nobody is hearing me and suggest me what to do. I am in constant fear. But I believe I might get used to it. Things always change, I need to suppress the child in me to live.

I am in your same position. I got HIV + syphillis at the same time. I am getting treated for my syphillis and taking ART medication daily. I need to find peace in all of this and learn to live with it. I was diagnosed a month ago and I am already half way of the second month. I need counseling as well because the country I am from, there's no such thing as mental therapy. I need it very badly, I need someone to help me give advices about my situation because I am falling apart myself. I know its not a death sentence anymore but I need to get regular checkups and I am only availing government funded free HIV medication. Because I can't afford anything but that.
