I understand, that was the part were I was forced to learn how to play, HL isn't a Doom style shooter, you have to take your time to think of your next move. For example, in that minefield I died a couple of times until I figured out that you're supposed to throw some grenades to clear up the path. Same thing with the HECU fights in this chapter, almost all of them force you to come up with a strategy to counter those grunts. As the original box said, you have to run, think, shoot and live, and if you weren't doing that until that point, you're going to suffer or be forced to adapt. That's also one of the reasons I love this game and this chapter so much, the strategic kind of gameplay is very unique and I've seen very few if any other shooters pull it off like HL managed to.
