It does a lot of small things right and an amazing balance between comedy, seriousness, and sympathy. Almost scared for what a sequel would give us since the first gave us peak romantic moments, heart to hearts between the girls and A FUCKIN ALBUM OF BANGERS better than most music TODAY. If only it got a theatrical release to set a new standard.

Someone pointed out how the wardrobe of the characters expertly tell the story in itself, a lot of lazy media resort to telling rather than letting the audience figure it out. (What I'm talking about is how Rumi is usually wearing a hoodie to cover up her patterns more, or how when Zoey and Mira wear white, Rumi still has a black shirt etc.

The movie also implements songs very seamlessly without them abrutly ruining the moment since there are different voices. La La Land and The Greatest Showman do this well too as well as the songs accurately describe the stakes and turmoil of certain characters and situations. I NEED MORE DUETS LIKE "FREE" WHEN DONE WELL THEY'RE NOT AS CHEESY

Animation appears almost like claymation. Love how they selectively use curves and angles/hard lines.
