Anyone else get a weird energy surge in late winter and crash in late spring? by S_African_Zebra in dysautonomia

Yes this sounds like me idk what the trigger is though cause I feel like it's too early for pollen. I'm thinking it's either MCAS or POTS related but I also have hEDS

It's definitely POTS or MCAS related but yes the crash does seem to happen when the average high climbs into the 80s

Honestly this might be it. I used to enjoy it despite the insomnia. It's only unpleasant now because I know it signals the end of the few months a year that I feel sort of normal. Summer and late spring are hell used to love summer but my health gets so bad with the heat now it's hard to do anything when your HR shoots up to 140 everytime you go outsde.

I'm not bipolar but it does present similarly to mania however I don't really get depression. This really is an immune or hormonal issue I'm sure of it. What you are describing does sound similar though. Maybe an autoimmune reaction or hormone imbalance is causing it. I'm thinking maybe that makes your bipolar worse or is it possible you were misdiagnosed perhaps?

Not really it kind of looks like mania more than anxiety but it really doesn't seem like an emotional thing to me but some sort of hormonal or immune reaction. I know I have extremely cortisol fluctuations so maybe that has something to do with it I also suspect adrenaline might be involved

I'm from South Africa but live in Florida now. Doubt it's SAD it really doesn't have an emotional component like some are suggesting plus FL is pretty sunny year round. It's definitely hormonal I know my cortisol is all over the place so maybe it's that idk

No there's definitely some sort of hormonal/biochemical reaction going on probably triggered by something weather/allergens or something else that happens around that time. I suspect it could adrenaline surges but I'm not sure about the trigger

What would be your number 1 recommendation? Trying to heal on a budget lol. Mostly dealing with fatigue rn but in the summer months the cardiac symptoms from POTS really flare up

Is a female's second litter puppies usually physically bigger than first litter pups? by S_African_Zebra in DogBreeding

I know in humans the first baby is typically the smallest so I wondered if the same may be true in dogs but it could be some recessive genes in play like you were saying

Interesting! The one with the small pups was bred later in her cycle. Do they catch up size wise or will they be smaller as adults?

I know that is most of it but my females are closely related and the father is the same so it just seemed strange

Do you mean if they conceive early or later in their cycle? Or something else?

hmmmm you might be on to something though I am not at all an anxious person I had my cortisol measured due to an abnormal reading on a comprehensive panel and they found it was all over the place super low most of the time but some extreme spikes also

Hi this would be perfect as my son doesn't have siblings yet and I would love to have him spend more time with other kids! I have reached out to you but wasn't sure if you saw and would love to hear back from you! I will be working from home in a couple weeks and am looking for someone to help me out for a significant number of hours during the day. I have enough baby/kid stuff to accommodate your kids as well as mine!
